I think I speak for the majority when I say that I can't get enough of Grant Scott's AE71 Corolla.
Here's a nice little clip of the car set to the sounds of Hendrix...

Hi Speedhunters, and thank you for giving me a chance to talk about my beloved Celica on your website. I am French, my name is Nicolas and I am 26 years old. I fell in love with the Celica ST205 as a young boy playing Sega Rally in arcade game centers, and later on my Sega Saturn! My first car was an AT200 Celica, cheap and affordable as a first daily driver, but I always yearned an ST205!...

We cover a lot of grassroots drift events here on Speedhuntres.com but what about those that prefer to grip around a track? Well don't worry because a couple of weeks ago I attended a BE-Circuit event at Tsukuba Circuit where I got to see, after quite a long time, some proper time attack action. There is nothing amateur about the cars and drivers that participate at this event. Sure most of them are simple owners out to have some fun, but their competitive nature has pushed them to create some...

After checking out the GT-R from Flatwell everyone was talking about at the HKS Premium Day, I think it would be a pity of we didn't take a look at this equally impressive BNR34 built by Koizumi-san at Auto Gallery Yokohama. Looks wise this particular car is far simpler, fitted with only a few choice Nismo parts like the side and rear skirts as well as the rear overfender strips . But it's under the hood that things get very interesting. To any GTR- otaku out there, this set-up would be instantly...

Winter is finished and hibernation is over, whatever Punxatwany Phil has to say on the subject. At least in my world that is. This week down in Spain the Grand Prix Circus set out their stall for 2010. In Florida the Rolex 24 has been and gone, next up is the beginning of the NASCAR season. Best of all is the news in from the city some 120 miles West of Paris, Le Mans. This week they have announced those lucky devils who have been invited to the 2010 edition of the French classic. Andy B posted a...

Among all the highly tuned Skyline GT-Rs at the HKS Premium Day there were a few that really stood out, one of them being this black BNR34 from Osaka-based tuning garage Flatwell . With lots of experience building time attack machines it's not surprising this latest creation of theirs looks so damn hot! The owner of the car, yes this is a privately owned street-driven car, has kept all of the exterior modification functional starting with that massive bi-wing carbon spoiler. Up front the C-West...

Last weekend my parents were in Southern California visiting for a bit before heading off on a cruise ship to Mexico. My dad had been bugging me for a while that he wants to check out a Cars and Coffee event, so Saturday morning it was up before the sun and down to Irvine to show him SoCal car culture at it's best....

Hi folks,
Maybe you want to hear the story about a little Camaro driver…
After I got my license in 2001 and after a long time of searching I found my first automobile love, a Chevrolet Camaro RS with a 5L 170HP V8 built in 1990.
So in 2002 everything began. I started reading a lot of message boards, magazines and tuning books to suck in all the information I could get. After starting as a complete greenhorn I began to understand how a car works and what I have to do to make my car faster.

I cover the Irish Time Attack series for the Irish car magazine Modified Motors, so I thought I would introduce SpeedHunters readers to the drivers and cars of this very competitive championship. After a couple of sporadic efforts in previous years, Time Attack really got going in Ireland in 2008, when the Mondello Park race circuit took over the running of series, providing a formal class structure, technical regulations and a full six-round calendar. The series developed quickly through 2008, had a great year in 2009 and is now gearing up for its third season....

OK, let's continue right where I left off last time with a look at the "History of the Race Car" exhibit from the 61st Grand National Roadster Show.
In the history of drag racing, there are few things cooler than mid '60s production cars like the two above....

I feel like I need to show you guys as much as I possibly can from the HKS Premium Day, as this event was simply packed with some of the best tuner cars in Japan. We have already seen the HKS demonstrators and the Time Attack machines, not to mention some of the privately owned Hyper Challenge cars, so to finish the coverage it's time to take a look at pretty much everything else that was on display on the paddock. There was a good mix of old and new, like this original HKS Kansai Service BNR32...

Hello Speedhunters! My name is Scott Grunsky and this is a brief history of my Suzuki 1991 Suzuki Alto Works RS-X that I imported from Japan a few years ago. When I first set out on this endeavor I had desperately wanted a similar age Suzuki Cappucino to build in to a track car. However, due to the initial purchase price, as well as the cost of upgrade parts, it was well out of my budget. So I decided on a cheaper stock Alto Works which would leave me with more money to put into the build. While...

Like 99% of car fans, I grew up with motors all around me – my old man loved his cars, often bringing classics back from Italy including a Lamborghini Espada, 1976 Porsche 911 and even began building his own Jaguar E-type until the unfortunate birth of the brother put a stop to things...
Anyways, since 2004 I’ve been a ‘motoring journalist’ over on the UK title Max Power which, when you’re 16 at the time of starting work, it opens your eyes to the entire car industry pretty quickly.

Hey guys. My name is Colin Masterson from S12silvia.com among other places. I hail from the Pacific Northwest. The land of endless rain and a severe lack of sunshine. Oddly enough, right now, where I grew up in SoCal, it is taking more of a beating than we are up here. Despite location, there are several consistencies and one of which is the love of cars. I am here not to represent the Pacific Northwest alone though. I am here to represent a single chassis that has an underground fan base around the world. It has been noted on Speedhunters a time or two and I know all of you know it from Henry’s car: the Nissan S12 Silvia....

For this part of my Grand National Roadster Show coverage, I'll be showcasing some of the historic machines found inside the "History of the Race Car" display. This was the one of the main features of this year's show, and the exhibit more than delivered. Nearly 100 years of American motorsport history were packed into one of the large halls at the Pomona Fairplex....

Uniqueness is sometimes the cause for confusion, and this particular car being built by Auto Bahn out in Ibaraki-ken is the perfect example. I spotted it inside their workshop the other month when I stopped over to check another of their cars out. I thought it looked pretty cool with that nice carbon front diffuser and canards on each side of the bumper. Covering tons of grassroots drift events throughout the year means I have cultivated quite the attraction towards older JDM rides like the JZZ20...
