Intersection, a great, but hard to find Automotive 'style' magazine, have partnered with Citroen to produce one of the first manufacturer produced 'flat black' cars (I'll refrain from using that dreadful 'murdered' term).

The C6 'Office' concept is a one off for the Paris Motor Show. Apparently, its designed to suit people who need access to work where ever they are.... So I assume it has a coffee machine :)

The lowered car looks impressive, almost, as if it glides along the road, just like Citroen's of old. Its a shame they were so conservative with the wheels.

Inside, the mobile office is upholstered in Alcantara and Leather and fully packed with gadgets by Kenwood, Blackbery, Navitec and Fauchon. It even comes with Krug champagne (ummm!).

Its good to see a manufacture keeping an eye on the latest trends.

The standard C6 is one of the more recent Citroen designs, aimed at repositioning Citroen back in the luxury market which the classic DS and CX once occupied. After a decade of bland Citroens the manufacture now has a great range of distinctive products. I'm sure the design of the C6 will polarize Speedhunters (as it has done elsewhere on the net), but thats what Citroen specialize in!

The only other manufacture flat black car I've seen was a Chevrolet HHR Van last year at SEMA. It was actually very dark Grey with some nice subtle gloss Black branding. Worked well. I'm sure there are others.

Time for some murdered (Argghh, I've said it now, Damm MTV!) posts?

What do you think?

Yes, a Peugeot 406 if IIRC. Sadly I was stuck on a plane once when they showed the American re-make with Queen Latifah - that was painful to watch!

Yeah it looks rather cool, it does seem they are aping the Brabus Bullit but that's no bad thing.

In regards to mention of Taxi 2 I think snoro was referring to the 605.

The entire car looks extremely cheap from the undersized, poorly fitted pepboys wheels (and stretched tires?) to the unsymmetrical single headrest monitor bulging out of it's place. I'm glad we don't have to look at the rear

@ casper, your sweeping generalization based on a very VERY dark photo of the wheels, which actually look far superior to what one might find at pepboys (and what's so cheap about stretched tires? if anything they cost more to mount...) as for the monitor, maybe it's the perspective of the photo that has you complaining.

.

I love the styling on the new C6, *especially* the rear window and c-pillars (technically d-pillars?), they're really pushing the boundaries at citroen, and i love what they're doing.  as for this particular office version, i like it quite a bit.  i'm not necessarily one for the fad of matte paint jobs and black wheels, but they seem to have pulled this one off quite nicely.  my favourite touch is the yellow parking lights as seen in the second photo (i'm a sucker for yellow lights)

It would be incredibly cool to see Citroen actually produce this model for general consumption

I googled other photos before making my comments. They could have opted for more rubber, stretching the tires only exasperates the high offset and wrong size wheels. My monitor comment is aimed that there is a headrest monitor on one seat and not the other, it looks like they ran out of money. It should either have the 1 large center monitor, or 2 headrest monitors. It should also be recessed into the headrest which is very standard, not stick out 2 inches with a bulky cheap looking plastic surround.

It's a one-off car, this is how they say "this is what we're capable of" If you're going to try and break into the luxury market, you don't make the car look like you slapped it together with left over parts. The standard C6 looks very nice, the 'office' shouldn't exist it just brings down my opinion of Citroen

Are the back wheels afraid of their own shadow? My 98 Passat has wheels that are closer to being flush to the wheel wells than this. I say "boo" to this one because I'd actually prefer the HHR because it looks like a higher quality build and doesn't follow along with a trend thats being dragged out too far.

casper - more pics? where.

Pat- yes, the wheels are a bit of a let down, but I think its fairly standard fitment, a little bit of a shame, but still an important point when a manufacture actually has the balls to join a trend.

The C6 was elegant and classy enough stock, they didn't have to screw it up like this.
