Here’s a sneak peak of my new competition car for the 2009 Formula D season.  The new Falken Nissan S15 Silvia.  I have always been a fan of S-Chassis. I believe that S-Chassis are the benchmark of drift cars and the S15 is the final evolution of the proven chassis series. This S15 has been a car that I have idolized every since I first got heavily involved with competitive drifting back in 2003.  I can’t believe that it will actually be my competition car!

I‘ve competed and owned several S-Chassis over the years including the Discount Tire / Falken RPS13, an S14 240sx, and a Japan-based S14 Silvia. I am currently building up a new rhd S14 Silvia as my practice / demo car in the US to help prep me for the rhd S15 a bit more for this year.

This Falken Tire S15 features a freshly built HKS 2.2L Stroker SR20DET race motor pushing over 400+ whp. The entire car has been newly built and tuned by Garage Boso. It features a Vertex Ridge widebody system, KW Race Coilovers, Sparco seats and steering wheel, APR GTC 300 adjustable wing, and an OS Giken LSD and clutch.

The interior still retains a lot of the original design and HKS instrumentations. We are running an HKS 5 Speed Sequential race transmission that will allow me to go through the gears more efficiently and get the car up to speed pretty quickly with the short gearing.

We just refinished a set of SSR Professor MS1R’s 18x10 in the fronts and 18x10.5 in the rears in white since that is the traditional Falken Motorsport color scheme.  I think the wheels looks pretty aggressive and clean in white, don’t you think?  And to finish it off, it wouldn’t be a true Falken drift car unless it was equipped with some Falken Azenis RT-615 tires. I have it currently sized 245/40/18 in the front and 275/35/18 in the rear. I am so excited to be competing in this car this season! I can’t wait for the season to start!

Clean style, adequate power, excellent wheels. It doesn't get any better than this. Can someone get Hubinette's style back in check? That Challenger is awful.

I think falken needs new livery, the green and blue is tired. The car is cool, but doesnt wow me really. I think it needs to be lower and the fitment could be a little closer IMO.

Good luck next year

Looks awesome Calvin! I wasn't sure if the Falken livery would go with the S15, but it looks awesome. Those rims are awesome too. Looks much better than it did in the Rockstar livery in my opinion.

Good luck with the car!

Is that the Hyper SIlvia? It seems to have lost a bit of it's charm since NOB stopped driving it. But I do hope this current season it gets driven like no other. Best of luck with the new car.

If this Silvia really is the Hiper Max HKS S15 that NOB drifted to his D1GP championship. It has definetely lost it's charm over time. And should be back with HKS next to their Aristo. Don't get me wrong Garage Boso did a wonderful build and best of luck to you Calvin Wan. But I just feel that the front end should hae cannards and eyelids just to make it more agressive. The back looks great the front kinda feels bleh. The specs say WIN, but the exterior needs more.
