Perhaps I'm a bit biased as an MX-5 owner myself, but I thought this was pretty cool. As part of the car's 20th anniversary, Mazda is hosting a birthday gathering for European MX-5 owners next month at the 24 Hours of LeMans. 200 owners and enthusiasts from around Europe will be invited to a special gathering and car show alongside the famous racing circuit. Most of all, I really liked the press photo that Mazda has supplied for the event, showing a new NC model sitting on the track alongside an original NA with a Mazda prototype racer lurking in the background.

Now if I could just find a way to get my little Roadster across the atlantic for this...

The new face of the Miata is much more in line with the styling cues of it's predecessors now IMO.  That initial design for the NC just didn't do it for me.

Karuizawa meeting is this weekend in Japan.

Should be about 400 or so roadsters.

last week was huge in texas I believe.

There is also another Japanese event coming up hoping to get about 600+ roadsters in October.

If you figure out a way to get yours across, double that so we can ship mine. :) Sadly, all the 20th anniversary things have come up AFTER I made the trek out to Myrtle Beach for that Miata gathering, so I'm not really in a place to attend any of it. Someday, though, we'll make the pilgrimage out to Laguna Seca to hopefully run on their track!
