Here's some event coverage straight from the country where it all started, Germany... BMW Syndikat Race Wars is the biggest BMW event in the country and takes place over the course of three days. Unfortunately, this year's event was hit by poor weather which also affected turn out. You'll see a lot of mud on the pictures because it rained all day long at Saturday. This edition would be better to have been called BMW mud wars!

The e30 on the picture above is a tubbed dragster with +800HP!

Now you see where all the power comes from... The car is fully front halfed with a tube chassis replacing the original frame and suspension set up.

Those tires create a lot of smoke but also a lot of grip!

Germans are good in modifying cars, that's for sure. Take a look at this e36 with e46 face lift head lights and m-tech bumper from the e46.

Sweet project!

Nice white cup seats with racing belts and roll cage.

The German tuning scene also known for extreme custom paint jobs... This one is reasonably tasteful though.

Big car, big wheels?

This E46 wagon was one of the favorites, totally shaved and loads of body work.

E46 M3 CSL, nice wheel combo!

When we're talking about a wide body, this is one! It reminds me of the old wide body conversions from the mid 1980s.

Mud wars... an e30 sprint car.

E92 M3, beautiful car with a 3-piece Schmidt wheel... a perfect wedding!

M6 wheels on E46 M3

Remember those fancy colors?

This E46 M3 was a real piece of art, 100% perfect finishing of each part, not one piece of dirt to find on the car!

E30 wagon on BBS, how sweet is that!

I think he was stuck in the mud! LOL!

A rare e32, hard to find these days.

Another rare piece, a 2002.

AC Schnitzer wheels fit the car perfectly.

No eco car, no sunpowered car, he drives ON beer!

Loads of horsepower gives a lot of sound! It was fun to watch this one in action!

Seems like the E92 coupé loses but by the end of the run, he overtook the e30!

Well I hope you enjoyed this look into the German BMW tuning scene. You can expect some new more BMW related car features from me in the coming weeks.

Whoa -- "rice"?  Bad taste?  Maybe the widebody car, but other than that I just don't see it.

What don't you like, Alex?

@ STJ and Alex

The point of modifying a car is to make it what YOU want it to be, not what some internet haters want. I'm not partial to this style of tuning either, but I won't insult peoples' hard work. You two have been bringing a lot of hate to this website. Let's see your rides and we'll see who has bad taste.

Look at the blue E36! So ugly. f you are gonna do a front end swap than do the whole front end, not just the headlights and a takky hood.

And that 7-series. what are those things.

The grey 7 is not a E32, but an E23 first gen 7-series.

the car you call "E46 M3 CSL" isn't really a CSL, it's a normal M3 with a Rieger CSL kit ;)

nice car tough!

The first 2 comments are from morons, if you love cars then it shouldn't matter the country of origin, when japanese car makers wanted to learn the trade they went west and copied, they improved on the breed, but they are by no means the best, and i kinda hate the whole "rice " thing, its kinda racist......maybe that says a lot about the people who make the comments.......BMW has a storied history in motoring, after Toyota, or Nissan wins a F1 crown or even LeMans u can talk ***......Mazda and Honda at least has won something outside Japan...Honda F1.....Mazda LeMans..787B......its take a little more than flicking a handbrake, and stepping on the gas to win those

Awsome hot rods - it's like Hot August Nights (Reno, Nevada) for Euro cars. Any American who doesn't like those is probably a *** and/or lives in his mother's basement.

I hope this is not in fact indicative of the German tuning scene.  Which makes me wonder, what would a German version of the Fast & Furious be like?  "SCHNELL!"

Rieger Tuning makes baby Jesus cry.

Clean, well planned out, well executed builds with beauty in the details are usually far between here in europe... This is a pretty good example of that fact. In my eyes, the blue E46, silver E46 and the blue E92 are the only good looking cars in this article. The rest are kinda sad. Except the drag e30, thats just hardcore :)

I'm not hater, I just dislike VERY much this type of taste.

Let's see, there is sooooo much to list here:

The blue BMW on the top of the list sports a chrome roll cage. That screams '80 !!!! It has "racing" seats bought at Kragen and they are white leather ! Since when racing seats are leather? The wheels are just OE BMW stuff, nothing special really.

The greenish 7 series dumped (on airbags?) with chrome wheels is nothing special either.

The purple E30 with BBS wheels, well, there are TONS of those cars around.....again, nothing special.

The blue AC Shnitzer....there are a TONS of those cars around too, nothing special.

The list goes on and on.....basically I don't see anything appealing in these pics, just some VERY light modded BMW with rims, stretch tires and some sort of suspension tweak.

No one cares what you love/hate, obviously. So, I don't see a point in whining on about how bad/good or special/not special a car is to you. No one has to like what these people have done, the event is just for BMW owners to show other BMW owners what they've been doing on their time off work.

@balang, how is a swapped front end on a BMW "antispeedhunters".........if it was a s14 nose on a s13 it would be cool huh?........if a car is clean without zipties and reversible stickers, and crazy negative camber that wears out your Advans every month it would be cool huh?, i love all the aforementioned stuff don't get me wrong, but there is a place on speedhunters for everyone
