The 'Petit Le Mans' round of the American Le Mans Series takes place this coming weekend and Speedhunters will be bringing you coverage of the10hour endurance event.

A closed test took place over the weekend and was the first chance to see the 'Need For Speed Shift' liveried #92 BMW M3 which Jörg Müller,Tommy Milner and Dirk Müller will compete in.

If you look closely, you will also notice Speedhunters.com stickers on the Rear wing end plate!

In addition to our coverage on Speedhunters, RadioLeMans.com will be broadcasting throughout the event on the Need for Speed Shift website. Radio Le Mans also has an interview with Tommy here.

Full race coverage will be on SpeedTV in North America and Motors TV in Europe.

Thanks to Marshall Pruett for the image.

Hopefully some of this rain lets up before you all come down this weekend.  ANd while I realize they will run in the rain, this last week we've had rain of epic propotions (they canceled school where I teach, today).

Enjoy your visit in Atlanta, otherwise.

So is the NFS Shift going to be like all other NFS games, just a different theme. Or is it going towards a more realistic simulator like GT or Forza?

I love the "hero" car M3 GT2 in SHIFT.

About the game... I kinda miss the wind tunnel testing/aero tweaking you could do with ProStreet. Not to also forget the offset/width/paint tweaks you could achieve w/ the wheel setups. *sigh* oh, well... can't have everything. Other than the things I miss, I enjoy playing it so far.

BTW, maybe a bunch of people already asked but anyone who played the game get their games frozen while playing Invitational Events?? When restarting a race it keeps looping in replay mode and won't let me exit out! I think another one is Ford GT vs. Viper... I can only pick the GT. The Viper just sits there revving while my rival beats the heck out of me. =(

yaeh, the new nfs sux.

i tried to figure out how it could be getting such good reviews whole last weekend. it doesn't deserve more than 5/10. it feels like prostreet with better looks and worse gameplay.

at ea they know how to kill a brand
