This car is getting famous all over the world and has been featured in many VW magazines, blogs and forums. When you look closely at this build, it's clear why it was recently on the cover of Performance VW magazine; this Golf is a top-end, high quality car.

Don't look to Rob's funny face but look to the front of the car and how low he can put the air suspension...

The car is ON the rims, who needs bumpstops anyway!

I don't think you can get a better overal stance than this...Fitment of the BBS wheels is perfect.

Go wide!!!

A super clean engine bay, bike carbs and some polished parts, need more?

Carbon cup seats with alcantara covering, one of the thousand details that can be found on the car.

The red remote is the control for the air suspension, every wheel can be managed separate.

@ DANIEL, you don't even know why you're calling it slow.  it has a carburated 16v, which probably has around 150hp give or take, in a car that weighs less than a ton.  think about that.

.

and kstyle, you may find this to be hideous, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and maybe i'm going out on a limb here but i think the majority is not with you.  i think it's a gorgeous, simple and ultra-clean build.  the best kind.

Now I know the MK1 is already pretty small, like tiny; if that engine is that tiny in the MK1 then heck, it's small!

Not Impressed said:

RacerrRex, you are missing nothing.  There is nothing special about that car, and this isn't a time warp back to 1985.  The writers are off the reservation.  Someone tell us where to find coverage of real Porsches, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, etc., because it hasn't been here for weeks, maybe months.  A roll cage in a car with air suspension...  It's like heated Corinthian leather seats in a garbage truck.

That engine bay is INSANE.  But seriously, how could you say no to a face like that?!?!? So cute. I'm a sucker for old cars, especially old German and Japanese ones. This is right up my alley. :) Just a simple, nice, clean take on an older car. Nothing crazy, but then again, does everything have to be crazy to impress? I hardly think so. She's perfect as is, especially if her owner thinks she is.
