Some of you were wondering why a lot of the cars/drivers from the Battle Evome time attack events don't participate in the yearly Tsukuba Super Lap Battle. Seeing the times a lot of these cars managed to post had me asking myself the exact same thing, the best example being Suzuki-san, owner of the Scorch S15 above who has lapped in a best time of 55.5 seconds. Like he has announced on his blog he is now shooting for that extra half a second to break the 54-second barrier! That is Cyber Evo/Tarzan Yamada territory!!
This Ti Racing's prepared orange FD managed a best of 1-minute flat which is very respectful for only having very basic "boost-up" modifications, but had actually gone faster with a record of 59".558.
The engine in this ISF was stock but thanks to lots of suspension upgrades, which include full pillow-ball links, the driver/owner "Mr. Lexus" managed a 1'02"246.
That's one place to drop your helmet off when working on you car! I really like the simplicity...
...and rawness of this S14, check out those carbon doors and that massive rear wing fitted onto two wing stays! That should take care of downforce!

This was an exact replica of the RE-Amemiya Hot Version "Daimao" Tougue Battle winner car. Or maybe it was the same car!
This GC8 only had 280 HP under the hood but they were good for a 1'01"805 lap, that's faster than most modern day supercars can manage at Tsukuba!
Time attack cars and massive lip spoilers really do go hand in hand.

Once the BE-Circuit guys had packed up their bags it was up to the 50 plus cars lined up in the paddock to head out for a bit of fun. I'm sure the owner of the R34 V-spec II Nur specifically requested that number!
A lot of owners like to go for a true time attack look fitting at least a pair of carbon front canards and a massive GT wing...
...whether others like to keep it simple.
