At the end of every month, the Australian JDM Style Tuning forum holds an informal meet (known as EOMM).

This month’s meet was held at JDM Yard, with the complex filling quickly with cars. About 30 cars had to park on the street as there was simply no more space.

The turnout was decent – I’d guess there were around 80 cars – considering the rain continued to fall for most of the day.

Tom from Fast Fours magazine made a cameo appearance in his 180SX. He’s certainly nailed the wheel fitment.

Yonas from JDM Yard owns this flat grey EG. It’s a street car which he’s been modifying since the first day I met him. He’s continually changing its focus; previously he built it for drag racing (his PB is 11.73 @ 113.17mph) and now he’s using it out on the track (so far his best around Wakefield Park is a 1:07).

Thus far Yonas has kept his EG naturally aspirated, although he’s toying with the idea of trying out a forced induction setup. Previously Yonas’ EG raced with a ZC motor before being swapped for a B16A. Now it’s graduated to a K24A from an Accord Euro (TSX) that retains the stock bottom-end. It produces 183kW (245hp) at the wheels. That’s a pretty decent output considering his EG weighs 858kg.

S15s are ubiquitous on Australian streets but they still look awesome when the mods are kept subtle.

An AE86 rolling on what I believe are MK II Supra rims.

JDMST’s founder is graphic designer Justin Fox, who goes through a staggering number of cars. In the last few years he’s owned and modified an S2000, R32 GT-R, V35, EF Civic, Evo 6.5, DC2 ITR, and three Honda Fits (known as the Jazz here). Considering Justin has just created VWGolf.net.au, it made sense that his latest toy is a GTI. The Advan RZ’s are a nice rim choice for the Golf.

Would this be considered TDM?

Another clean street Silvia.

Kevin San’s C10 Hakosuka is always a crowd favourite.

While Australia is fortunate to have plenty of late-model Skylines, seeing one of these on the roads is very much a rarity.

The Skyline’s interior remains intact with the addition of a Recaro driver’s seat.

The engine bay has been tidied up and the L28 has also been rebuilt, producing a healthy 190hp at the wheels.
