@jeroen & carl the bloke in question is felix pailier and a spotlight on his lancia is well overdue. As is a speedhunters trip to a european hilllclimb championship round in which felix and erich both compete aswell as reto meisel and georg plasa.

I actually went to watch one of these events and I got to meet Chris the guy who runs HillClimbFans.com, such a great event, well worth going to see if you can.
actually it's felix pailer not pailier...i'm surprised how little coverage the european hillclimbs get considering the insanity of cars and speed there...makes time attack machines look weak. other interesting machines are bruno ianniello's lancia delta s4, georg plasa's judd v8 powered BMW 320, reto meisel's judd v8 powered merc 190, crazy cosworth escorts, ex super touring cars, not to mention F3000 cars going up the hill. hopefully we'll see more coverage in the future :)
I believe dog boxing is what you would call that shift method, not kick boxing :P

a former 3x touring car world champion Andy Priaulx started out in hill climb some of his records still stand today
The sounds that car makes when it shifts is similar to those my decrepit dog makes. And I absolutely LOVE the way this guy changes gears, no lifting off the throttle and a Bruce Li kick to the clutch.
That's wild.... It reminds me of that group B audio quattro hill climb video.. Awsome sound on this car though
