Early on a Sunday morning, the massive Nissan plant in Sunderland echoed to the sound of screaming engines and tortured tires, as the British Drift Championship 2011 came to a climax with the final round. Practice and qualifying had produced some surprise results, leaving all three classes well and truly up for grabs. As the gates opened to the public, the Super-Pro practice sessions were well underway. A few mechanical woes were sorted during the night ... ... but some problems were just too big...

It had been a long month of drifting as we approached the final of the British Drift Championship. Four major events and 2500 miles later, I can't quite believe the 2011 Drift season is over. It just seems like yesterday I was making my way north to Donnington Park for the opener of BDC six rounds ago. It has been quite a season in BDC. Surprise results, drama, special guests in the form of D-Mac and Fredric Aasbo entering the Silverstone round and above all truly epic driving in every round...

As always, Stephen Brooks was on hand at the BDC Silverstone Trax event to capture the action as only he knows how. Featuring some amazing clips of the two Team Need for Speed cars and a soundtrack by Chase & Status, it's time to go fullscreen, kick back and enjoy another cracking video.

Darren: Hello Speedhunters!! And welcome to the competition launch of the D-Mac86 on home soil (well sort of) I've been looking forward to returning to one of my old stomping grounds, Silverstone circuit in the UK for quite some time. I left the UK drift scene a good while ago after my D1GP success in Silverstone led me to Irwindale and Formula D. My initial excitement for returning to European competition was dampened by the unknowns of a new car build. It was going to be really difficult to...

As its St Patricks day its only right we should feature a Irish driver to mark the occasion. Dublin based Danni Murphy is now in her 3rd year of competitive drifting was the first and so far only woman to have been granted a pro license in Ireland -backing up her licensing performance with consistent top 16 qualifying in her first 3 Prodrift Ireland events. She's now here in the UK making her mark as one of the up-and-coming stars of UK drifting. Danni made her UK debut in the 2009 BDC semi pro...

Its been a very busy year here in the UK drift wise, 3 top level championships all hotly contested all coming down to the wire to reveal the 3 respective champions. It all kicked off back in April with JDM Allstars Newcastle. Set right on the quayside the tight technical 'street' style track produced some jaw dropping driving straight from the off.. ..If you wanted to score big you had to run the wall! Two drivers stood out from the off Dan Chapman and Remo Niezen. scything through the top...

It would seem that for every year that passes that the Irish & UK drifting scene always surpasses itself. Since the first pair of tires were burnt in anger back in 2001, the scene here has expanded into something beyond what any of us could of imagined. Although we may not have factory backed teams like in the USA, it would appear that it is only a matter of time before we are on a similar playing field with our American cousins. For 2009, Prodrift have teamed up with UK series BDC to bring us...
