This Speedhunters film is going to be my final contribution to the Driver's Month special features.
It's a quick portrait of the multiple World Touring Car Champion, Andy Priaulx.
Shot last month at the Imola round of the WTTC, we've done our best to capture the essence of Touring Car racing. The intensity, the aggressive driving and the on track dramatics.

In part 2 of our McLaren F1 GTR Retrospective, we are going to look at the 1996 season. McLaren Cars made a number of improvements for the 1996 season with revised aerodynamics, cooling and fuel system. Many components were re-engineered. Boy I've been stressed out for the past 24 hours. The site went down on the last day of BMW month, meaning we couldn't get the final set of stories published. We were saving some of the best pieces for last it's been a bit painful to say the least. So I hope you don't mind that we quickly published the last set of stories from BMW month today. When the time came to choose the car I would be driving around Germany during our Speedhunting trip to Munich I immediately went for the more powerful M5. I knew I had chosen the best car, 500 HP and a pair of paddles to machine-gun through the 7-gears of the DSG gearbox. Since it is BMW month on Speedhunters, I figure I’d show you guys my newly painted E46 M3. White has always been my favorite color on cars so pretty much all my cars are white. I'm sure most of you guys are aware of the short but fruitful linkup between BMW and McLaren that produced the F1 Supercar, but this was not the first time these two companies worked together. Back in the 1970s McLaren had an American based racing team that was used for its Indianapolis campaigns. Our Speedhunting trip to Munich couldn't have been any better. Sure we had a tight schedule during our time there, visiting places like BMW's Welt and Museum not to mention the BMW Group Classic collection. When at Imola the other week I spotted a couple of interesting looking factory modified BMW's sitting in the paddock. First up the 123d here is fitted with the full BMW Performance package, which adds some tantalizing parts like the sportier front bumper, side skirts with air intake... ...and a nice carbon lip spoiler. We still have a couple Stanceworks car to showcase before BMW month is over, with one of them being this E21 320i owned by Nic Foster of Tuscon AZ. One thing I've noticed about the Stanceworks crew is that these guys come from all over the United States instead of just one region. It's always nice to see long distance camaraderie in the car world!...

BMW Mobile Tradition is BMW North America's vintage fleet of race cars that are toured around the country to some of the greatest car shows the US has to offer. These aren't your usual museum show cars though. All of them are fully operational and I've been lucky enough to drive most of them. And drive them hard... We have just over a day left in BMW month and we've yet to feature any BMW drag cars here. Generally Bimmers aren't favorites among the 1320 crowd, but the doesn't mean there aren't any BMW drag cars out there. The M Coupe seen above was built by Micke Svensson and features a custom chassis with a Ford 9" rear, a sequential gearbox and an 887hp turbocharged M3 motor under the carbon body.
Weighing in at just 1054kg, the car is capable of running the quarter mile in the low eight second range.

It's going to be several hours before the sun rises in Vancouver, Canada but I'm already up and am working away on my last few BMW feature stories. The first subject to check out is another bit of Munich based Speedhunting that Dino and I did in Germany last Wednesday. We took our two BMW press cars and drove south from Munich for around 100 kms on the world famous Autobahn freeways. If you already own one of the most extreme build drift S15's on the planet, what kind of car you would drive on a daily basis? Hi guys, I'm Marc Pedersen and I'm a judge in the Scandinavian Drift Series as well as having been a guest judge in several other European drift series. Lately we held the finals of the Danish Championship and the Nordic Championship at Sturup Raceway in Sweden.
