As I write this, I'm busy packing for a short weekend trip to Osaka to have a look at the 2012 Osaka Auto Messe. I'm really looking forward to checking out Kansai's car scene, but before I hop on that bullet train, I thought you guys might enjoy some desktops from last weekend's GTCC event at Tsukuba. ...

Although I've been to many hot rod events, this was my first time at the Grand National Roadster show. What impressed me the most was the variety of cars there, and how pristine they were given their age. Of course, all of them have had some sort of restoration in one form or another. It makes me wonder what it would have been like to see these cars on the showroom floor. It's hard to imagine them being brand new once upon a time. Just sitting in this lead sled makes you feel like a million...

It's normally around this time of year, we would be returning from our adventures in the UAE, after shooting the Dubai 24HRs. However, due to time and budget constraints, the Speedhunters team had to give the event a skip this year. As much as we love the enduro in the desert, it just wasn't possible to fly to Dubai this January. However all is not lost, as our friends at Crank & Piston have stepped in to cover off the event for us, and kindly agreed to shoot behind the scenes photography...

It's been a while since we've updated our wallpaper section, but fear not. I've just gone through and added a few high res wallpapers from my recent visit to Canepa Design. Head over to the desktops section now to find photos of Bruce Canepa's Porsche 935, a scene from the race car storage area, a bird's eye view of the shop floor, as well as Mr. Seinfeld's RSR.
All are available in both widescreen and standard format.

These past few days, I've been digging through the year's photo archives and I've enjoyed the trip down memory lane. As great as that nostalgic trip was, I found myself feeling a bit bad as I've forgotten some of the photo shoots I've been on. When you're in the grind of going to shoot after shoot, often the photographic events start to blur and blend into one another. But if there was one shoot that stood out as memorable and unique, it was when I spent a morning with Vaughn...

A lot of you requested some desktops from our recent Ford Heritage Collection stories - one person even wrote that they'd never forgive me - so I thought it best to not disappoint you. I've included four of my own personal favourites including the Ford GT, Lotus Cortina, an overview of the workshop and a close up of the bonnet of Hannu Mikkola's World Cup Rally winning Escort RS1600. I know some of you complained about the images being in black and white and I admit that it was a tough...

The VADxRWB Number One has certainly been dividing opinions since we published last week's feature . One thing I think we can all agree on is nobody can deny the quality of the worksmanship that has gone into the car. It's probably the most complete car I've ever featured and it's certainly looking bright for the next VADxRWB project. Hopefully, the next time you hear or read about the VAD name it should be from their Australian division. I've uploaded four desktops from the feature...

Some of you guys requested some high res wallpapers from the California Hot Rod Reunion, so I went ahead and uploaded a few. Head over to the Desktops section now to find an image of this wheelstanding Plymouth, a Willys smoking out the place, a super cool Flathead-powered push car, and a very quick Ford Starliner known as Old Yeller.
Widescreen and standard formats are available now.

The #50 AF Corse crew of Francesco Castellacci and Federico Leo held onto their Drivers' Championship lead at the end of the final FIA European GT3 race of the 2011 season, taking fourth position as the flag dropped at the end of 35 laps of the Zandvoort track – enough to clinch the championship for the Italian driver pairing. It hadn't been easy though: they started only sixth, soon dropped to seventh and were under pressure to make up places for the whole race. Frederick put in a...

I've just started going through my photos from this weekend's Rennsport Reunion at Laguna Seca and thought you guys might enjoy a couple wallpapers while I put my coverage together.
If you head over to the Desktops section you'll find shots of a pair of 917s and a 908/3 at the Corkscrew, a colorful lineup coming through Turn 4, a 993 braking into Turn 10, and finally the '75 RSR driven by Al Holbert.
Head over to the Desktops section to pick them up in widescreen and standard formats.

I'm getting ready to head over to Laguna Seca for a weekend of Porsche shooting at the Rennsport Reunion, but before I hit the road I wanted to post a few desktops from the Eagle Field Hot Rod Gathering. I've uploaded a shot of a cool flathead-powered dragster, a wicked '55 Chevy, the smoking Hudson, and one mean little Roadster.
Widescreen and standard formats are available now in the Desktops section.

If there was one thing that the last round of the 2011 Formula Drift season proved, it was the fact that no matter what engines were in these drift cars, or what car housed said engines, people will come in record numbers to spectate as long as the on-track action was bumper-to-bumper. And as the nail-biting hunt for the championship unfolded at Irwindale Speedway, Formula D more than proved its might, it solidified itself as a drifting powerhouse of a series. With that, here are a few selections...

When you think about an international race like the Petit Le Mans, the first thought that would normally come to mind would be the multitudes of cars that are on track at the same time. This year, there were 53 cars occupying the 2.54 mile Road Atlanta race track. The on-track action heats up the second the green flag is waved. But as the hours start to tick down, each individual race car stops battling with the rest of the field... ...and settles into a race with itself. Here are a few desktop wallpaper...
