A car like this could be considered as a misfit or maverick. Norris Designs are responsible for this creation, a short wheelbase EVO 9. There are so many trick parts on this car but I'll start with the engine. It is powered by a 2.24L long rod high deck engine, it delivers 950bhp and 700lb-ft. After looking around the Autosport show (most stalls were still being set up) my jet lag was getting to me so I sat down to rest at the EDC/Time Attack booth.... But within a few minutes I heard this intense engine sound edging in my general direction. To my surprise, this wild Evo9 appeared along the carpeted walkway... The freshly rebuilt Norris Designs Time Attack SWB Evo. The car maneuvered into its parking position at the EDC/Time Attack booth but I could only gape in awe. This, ladies and gentlemen...

For the first time since 2006 I will once again contest an endurance race but this time fulfilling an ambition to drive in a 24hr race. Recently Mitsubishi announced their intentions to return to circuit racing in the UK ( which they haven't done since the 80's ) with the new Evo X and just last week they confirmed the car will be finished in time to contest the Britcar 24hr Race at Silverstone (UK ) and I was contacted to join the team by fellow team driver James Kaye as one of the 4 drivers...

Walking through the paddock at the Time Attack UK event, I just couldn't help but notice this Evo. Even sitting in the pit area, it just stood out from the other cars in terms of its style and build quality. This is a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 9 GT, owned by privateer Lee Broadhurst. After talking to the owner, I found out that this car is actually the top privateer-owned car in the Time Attack Pro class, and is ranked at 6th place overall.
