The wife and I are once again in the market for a new daily driver/Speedhunting road trip mobile and there are a few cars in the running at this point. Naturally, we are looking for something that's inexpensive, good on gas, roomy, and maybe even a little fun to drive. The good old Honda Fit is certainly a car that has all those attributes. My "research" for our next car includes lots of browsing Minkara profiles, and that's where I found this tidy looking GE8 Fit done by Axis Styling out of Japan. Any other suggestions? -Mike Garrett...

While I was at the Long Beach Grand Prix I spent some time walking around the expo area inside the convention center. For the most part everything was the same as previous years, but Honda did have a large display and that's where I found the 2010 Honda Fit B-Spec race car....

Hybrid cars have been huge sellers in Japan as of late, and so has the Honda Fit. It's only natural to think that the hybrid version of the Fit might be the next big thing. Here's a rather life-like rendering of what Noblesse's version of the new Fit Hybrid is going to look like. They are hard at work developing parts for the car at the moment. Dress-up, circuit, hybrids, vans, and more - if it's a Honda these guys do it all. -Mike Garrett...

I have been a member of the UK-based GT-R Register for over 10 years now. It's always been a great community where people share tons of knowledge about every aspect of the GT-R, from owning and running one to the unavoidable tuning obsession that eventually sets in. One user from Canada, felix69, has recently posted up pictures of his beautifully built RB30-powered BNR32 which is currently being finished ready to hit the streets in the summer. At the same time however he showed members shots...

Found this really cool photo on the Noblesse offical site, taken before a huge nationwide Honda Fit meeting in Japan earlier this month. Noblesse never fails to impress, whether it's with their sexy dress-up builds or their track cars. -Mike Garrett...

Rolling on with my Tokyo Auto Salon coverage, it's time to look at this year's Honda showing. You have probably already seen photos of the cars displayed by Mugen and by Honda itself, but there plenty of other cool H-badged vehicles at TAS '09. I thought I'd start with the Tamon Design "Zaku" S2000 which was part of the Ray's Wheel both. This car has been in the making for over a year, and the finished product is really something....

The redesigned 2009 Honda Fit just went on sale in the United States, but the new Fit has already been out here in Japan for a close to a year now. I was browsing through the latest issue of Style Wagon Magazine when I saw the newly updated Fit demo car from Noblesse. It is running a full Noblesse Lux type aero kit with a set of custom set of FRP blister fenders that are used to house the aggressive 18" Garson wheels (fitted with 5-lug adapters). Other coolness comes from a full set of Project...

Four Honda Fits in the paddock at the Tsukuba 1000 course during the Mugen Circuit Challenge. These are nowhere near as the extreme as the J's Racing Fit I featured earlier, but even in mostly stock form the Fit makes more a fun track car that can get 35mpg and carry a ton of stuff. I think cars like the Fit, Vitz/Yaris, Suzuki Swift, and Mazda Demio are going to continue to grow in popularity for a long time. Stuff like this gets a thumbs up from me. Are you guys interested in seeing more tuned...

The Honda Fit is the best selling car in Japan by a long shot. Even I drive one! Despite the fact that our Fit is painted a somewhat less common color, there have still been times when I've had trouble figuring out exactly which Fit was ours in a crowded parking lot. The Fit also has a strong following among tuners in Japan, although most of them are pretty mild as far as modifications go. Then on the other hand, you have the J's Racing Fit GT seen here. Mild is the last word I would use...
