Garage Saurus is one of those names that everyone has heard of. So you might be forgiven if you've been wondering what has happened to them. The owner, Hayashi-san, is still very much active in the Japanese tuning scene, continuing to build crazy GT-Rs and other JDM rides on a daily basis out of the Saurus workshop in Saitama. The reason that he and his cars haven't really been out at events and shows over the years is that well, he has pretty much achieved what he set out to do, and the...

If it wasn't for Jeroen I would have almost forgotten about this Ferrari 550 Maranello. The picture he posted up a few weeks back reminded me of this unique creation that Hayashi-san of Garage Saurus put together a few years back. Most people however don't actually know that there are two cars, two 550s that wear the same all-carbon fiber Garage Saurus body kit. I went to check out one of them at Fuji Speedway during a set up session that was meant to test the new components the car had been...

Some of you should recognize this car as the 550 Maranello that has been build by Garage Saurus . It's a car that is constant developing. I have been following the build and I have been amazed at the quality of the build. This time they went out for a track day on the Fuji Speedway for some much needed testing. It is just a testament that Garage Saurus is still one of Japans greatest tuners. JeroenWillemsen

Following on from my post on the Mine's R35, I thought it would be worth going back in history a little and featuring a slightly older GT-R. The BNR32 is what put Nissan on the supercar map back in 1989, and pretty much fueled the tuning boom in Japan during the 90's. Garage Saurus have been around since the beginning, building some of the most extreme cars the streets of Japan have ever seen. Garage Saurus has proven to be one of the strongest contenders in the drag scene, but at the same...
