When it comes to getting the right stance, there's nothing more hardcore than radiusing your fenders so you can fit monster-sized wheels.
It's hard to believe that this CE1 Honda Accord Wagon rolled off the showroom floor equipped with puny 15"x6 wheels.
I've been kicking around the idea of picking up another Accord Wagon for the wife to drive to work and back, I wonder if she'd be down with something like this?

Found this really cool photo on the Noblesse offical site, taken before a huge nationwide Honda Fit meeting in Japan earlier this month.
Noblesse never fails to impress, whether it's with their sexy dress-up builds or their track cars.

Without a doubt the aggressive wheel fitment trend is exploding in popularity. In fact I'd say it's almost getting rarer to see new builds that don't have wild wheel fitment. Even with all the "flushness" out there today, there are still some cars that stand out from the crowd. One of them is this AP2 S2000 spotted on the HellaFlush blog.
Maybe it's the bright red paint, or maybe it's the gleaming faces of the Enkei RPF1's, but Damn this car looks cool.

I'm about to head out the door on the way to Irwindale Speedway to check out practice and the NFS Shift competition, but before I leave I wanted to post this dumped Accord Wagon photo from Minkara.
How cool would it be if Acura brought over the new Accord Wagon/Tourer as the TSX Wagon for the US market?
Not likely, but it's fun to think about.
OK, off to the House of Drift!

With Dino's fantastic Hakosuka feature and our JCCS coverage it seems like we've been on a bit of Nostalgic JDM kick this week. Sticking with that theme for a moment, we have the Honda EV-N Concept, which will be shown at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. Although it features a high tech electric drivetrain, the exterior was clearly inspired by the original Honda N360 of the late '60s.
Anyone else think this would look awesome dropped on 12 or 13-inch RS Watanabes or SSR's?

Every year in the UK, Japanese car enthusiasts get together for the massive Japanese Auto Extravaganza, better known as JAE. The 2009 edition of JAE was held this weekend at Wicksteed Park in Northhampton.
Photographer Rich Sams was kind enough to send us some photos from the event....

John Brooks was on duty at Silverstone last weekend, so we have a hugh gallery of images form Rounds 22, 23 and 24 of the British Touring Car Championship with some additions from our friends at PSP-Images. A few driver changes. Ex Formula 1 driver, Johnny Herbert joined Team Dynamics, replacing James Thompson who has commitments in the Danish, World Touring Car Championships and the Australian V8 Supercar championship – busy boy! Tom Onslow-Cole was also called up as a stand in for the second...

Another catch up post! This time we focus on the latest rounds of the British Touring Car Championship at Knockhill. Silverstone will follow tomorrow. The Knockhill rounds took place in mid August. A smaller field than normal as a couple of teams decided to skip this Scottish Round. After a few lack-luster results, Jason Plato dominated the first race of the day in his Chevrolet Lacetti from Pole Position. Local boy, Gordon Shedden was close behind, under pressure from the Airwaves BMW’s of...

Amongst all the American Rods, Customs, Streamliners, Trucks, Lakesters and Muscle cars running down the salt at Bonneville, we actually managed to find a few Japanese cars here and there. Perhaps it's our own bias, or the fact that we know you guys tend to be more responsive to these machines, but we had our eyes peeled for cars of a Nipponese flavour during our visit to the salt last week. This post is by no means an exhaustive catalogue of every single Japanese car that attended Speed Week...

Just stumbled upon this pic of a very wild S2000. It features a very aggressive bodykit with lots of bolt on parts like the Amuse rear bumper, Spoon hardtop and very wide fenders. The wheels are a set of aggressive looking FN-01r's made by 5Zigen, they look to me like 17". -Jeroen Willemsen

It has been a while, with a long summer break, but the British Touring Car Championship returned to the track last weekend at Snetterton, in Norfolk. Current Champion Fabrizio Giovanardi and Colin Turkington shared the top spot of the podium during the three race event. Turkington was a little fortunate to take the final race win of the day after original winner, James Nash, was excluded. Jason Plato started the day in pole position for Race One in his Silverline Racing Chevrolet Lacetti. Turkington...

Other than family, the biggest thing I miss about the UK is Goodwood Festival of Speed. I went to every one until 2005 and it was always a highlight in my Motor Racing year. I would see few cars run up the hill climbs. I would spend most of the time in the paddocks or on the front lawn where a stunning display was always to be had. The very wet 1997 FoS was the second date with my future wife, Joanne! Must be a petrol head. Anyway, I digress. Gerry Judah always creates a fantastic sculpture each...

Earlier this month I posted a couple of the dress-up tuned vehicles that were done by Noblesse in Japan, but Noblesse also tunes Hondas for the track. Their latest project is a bit unconventional but I'm quite excited about it - a Honda Insight circuit car. With just coilovers, wheels and tires, and brake pads from a Fit RS, the Insight recorded a 51.428 lap time at Mihama Circuit. For comparison's sake the tuned Noblesse Fit RS recently ran a 51.806 lap on the same track. Once the weather cools down, they plan to go at it again with some bolt-on exhaust and intake upgrades. To me, the idea of building an Insight for the track captures the original spirit of hot rodding - transforming a run of the mill hybrid car into something functional and unique....

With this being Exotics and Luxury Month I think this is one of the best cars that we could possibly have featured from Japan. If you thought the NSX-R was the ultimate car from Honda, just check out what Mugen have done! Some of you may recall having seen the NSX "double-R" Concept in the Tokyo Auto Salon coverage but this is one of those cars that deserves a more detailed feature. So a couple of weeks after the show I met up with Kim-san over at Mugen in Saitama-ken, ready to drool over...

My love of vans is no secret. To me there's just something great about a vehicle that can carry car parts, family members, or your bros around town in comfort and style. Whether it's a classic Ford Econoline or the sleek modern vans from Japan, I'm crazy for these things. Since it's luxury and exotic month, I'm quite pleased to be able to take a closer look at the vanning world. In Japan, there's one company in particular that's becoming the king of dressing up Honda's vans and compact cars - Noblesse. The Honda Fit, the Step Wagon, and even the new Insight have all been given the Noblesse touch, and their newest project is this RB3 Honda Odyssey Absolute.

Despite being one of the world's largest carmakers, Honda's sports car program is known for churning out unique machines infused with the company's racing DNA. At the begenning of the '90s when its Japanese rivals were building heavy gadget-laden sports cars, Honda broke the mold with the F1-inspired mid engine NSX. Whether stock or fully tuned like in the photo above, the NSX is considered to be one of the greatest Japanese sports cars of all time. It's been out of production for some time now, but the NSX will always hold a place in history as being the "everyman's exotic".

The British Touring Car Championship visited the North West of England on the weekend, with three rounds at a sunny Oulton Park. Colin Turkington won the first two events of the day in his Team RAC BMW 320Si. Turkington took the lead in the opening race from the line, overtaking the all-Chevrolet front row of Jason Plato and Matt Jackson. Plato followed Colin home in 2nd while his team mate, Jackson suffered a puncture on the penultimate lap while in 3rd. Jackson eventually finished in 19th place...
