A few years ago, Lexus released the hot rod IS F sedan, instantly shattering all those perceptions of the company being one that makes only soft luxury vehicles. While the V8-powered IS F, and more recently the LFA have driven the brand into the realm of the serious performance car, Lexus has also been trying to inject some of that sporting character into the rest of its line up. Enter the F Sport line....

One of the prime movers in GT300 (and the reigning champions in the class), we haven't seen a whole lot in terms of results from Racing Project Bandoh drivers Manabu Orido and Tatsuya Kataoka of late, their only major points-haul coming at the opening round of the season when the pair took third. Typically the second half of the season has been stronger for the squad, last year being a good example, where a pair of third-place finishes in the last two rounds was enough to push them into the lead...

If there is a will, there is a way. The Team Takeuchi Lexus IS you see here is quite an interesting car, it was created out of need, and as we will see shares very little with the Lexus IS you and I know. The project was handled by Shift Racing , a highly technological outfit that for years has been building cars that participate in Super GT, Super Taikyu and the Japan Porsche Cup. With the phasing out of the little MR-S, used by some teams up until 2008, Shift knew that they needed to look to the...

Well I'm glad the slammed BMW post from yesterday has gone down a treat... you can never tell with you guys are going to respond sometimes! So here's a quick look at a car from the opposite end of the spectrum to the BMW... It's a good example of an USDM Air Ride VIP styled machine. We spotted Vinh Vo's ground hugging Lexus IS350 last month at the Access Zero 42 car meet in Houston, Texas and instantly knew we had to move it to the opposite end of the parking lot for a quick photoshoot...

To follow up on the IS300/Altezza story that was published earlier today on Speedhunters, I thought I'd post up a new car story, featuring this newly revamped 2009 Lexus IS350, which is built up with F-Sport accessories. In case you haven't yet heard of F-Sport, it's the newly branded line of performance parts available from Lexus - basically the same concept as TRD parts for Toyotas, but for the Lexus brand. As almost all our readers know, I'm a huge fan of, and owner of several...

In the competition motorsports industry, there are some times when off-the-shelf parts just aren't good enough for race teams, who seek to get every little bit of advantage and performance out of the cars they're racing. In those cases, it's important to work with the right race car builders and fabricators. When it came time for Discount Tire and Falken to build Hiro Sumida's Lexus IS350 for Formula D competition, there were no real benchmarks to compare their build to; after all...

It's no secret that I love Lexus brand vehicles. So of course I was excited when I heard that Discount Tire Direct and Falken Tire would be working together to campaign a Lexus IS350 in the Formula Drift Series. When I first saw the mockups of the graphic scheme (it was shown to me by a Falken employee before the car had its graphics applied), I wasn't too thrilled to be honest. I dislike the arch looking graphic on the side of the car, it doesn't do any justice to the car's naturally...
