Luke Fink caused quite a stir in the UK drifting scene this by quite literally overnight becoming the man to beat. After driving non-stop from Madrid to Manchester, some 1300 miles, to make practice of the first JDM Allstars round this year, Luke managed a handful of practice laps before qualifying first in an event that featured the recognised talent of Mark Luney, Dan Chapman, Phil Morrisson, Martin Ffrench and many others. This shows probably two of Luke's finest attributes: His dedication...

UK Videographer's extraordinaire Al Clark and Josh 'Will Shoot for Food' Allen put this video from Wembley out during the week. I presume you've already pressed the play button so is there any point in rambling on ?

I have four desktop images for you. The first is of the newly crowned JDM Allstars Champion Luke Fink at speed and making smoke. Secondly we have a photo I've entitled "Depth of Field" . It's more an Art Attack style image... ... As is this one, which focuses on the drift jump at Wembley. Finally I have a high rez photo of the Sticker Bombed Soarer. BTW it's covered with stickers from Precision Drift Clothing. Have a look at their site as they have some pretty cool designs going...

I had hardly finished picking the rubber out of my hair from Wembley, when it was time to for the final visit to Silverstone for the JDM Allstars final. The fastest track on the UK calendar, and a 3 way battle for the championship between Dan Chapman , Luke Fink and Jon Clavert; Silverstone 2010 promised to be quite a spectacle. There is something about Jon Claverts s13... ..And Mat Steele's s14. Cant put my finger on what it is, but in my opinion they are two of the best looking cars in the...

After a day that threw up many, many surprises, Luke Fink was crowned 2010 JDM Allstars champion. Qualifying first and finishing a close second behind eventual round winner Jon Calvert was more than enough for the Aussie to secure the title. Fink is the third winner of the JDM Allstars series, following in the footsteps of Eric O'Sullivan and Remmo Niezen. For the third consecutive year, the title eluded Dan Chapman who finished third overall. Ross will be following shortly with a full event...

This spring Vaughn Gittin JR, he with no last name: "Linhbergh", Will Roegge and I went to the Tate Modern in London. Although the building is a marvel unto itself, my main reason for going there was to hit up the book shop. I wanted to get some graphics, culture and media theory books to spread around the EA offices back in Vancouver. One of the books I bought was called "Sticker Bomb" . It's an amazing collection of urban style stickers contained in an art book. This term...

I'm now back in Vancouver, having crossed the planet to be reunited with my lady and leather couch! Fantastic! It's been a heady few weeks with back to back trips to Utah, Nevada, London and soon California and Portugal... I think I'll need to sleep for several weeks once this round of travel is done. So two days ago, I had dinner with a few people from Nissan Europe at a fancy restaurant in London. We got to discussing European drifting and how the community is rapidly evolving to a...

As Speedhunters, we dedicate every last minute of our days to that hunt of speed. Being a Speedhunter is more than just a job, it's a lifestyle and perhaps more so it's a frame of mind. It's something you cannot turn off in your head, it's always there lurking and waiting to pop up again and again. I've often found myself on nights out with friends, staring out of the club window daydreaming about being out in the dark, alone but for the body of steel around me, just driving....

It's that time again. With the success of the two past events it's only right that JDM Allstars pays its annual visit to London for round four of the championship ... Wembley. Drifting under the gaze of the enormous (by UK standards) Wembley Stadium is the highlight of many drivers seasons, so it is always well subscribed with entries. The start of the track is blind to spectators, so the cars burst into the arena in a cloud of smoke and noise over a small bump... ... into a fast transition...

With Wembley featuring a small yet brutal jump on the entry to turn four, I thought it would make a cool sequence post ... James Deane crests the rise fully compressed with Luke Fink in hot pursuit ... ... a split second later he is fully airborne sideways ... ... into a 'Dukes of Hazzard' Style landing. Into turn four as Luke Fink takes the compression ... ... and launches into the air. - Ross.

I'm just settling into my hotel room for the night, trying to absorb the events that took place today at Wembley. It was a result I could see happening for quite some time: the always aggresive Trela finally took his first JDM Allstars win. It may not be the prettiest car in the world, but that doesn't matter much when you drive what you have to 110%. Full event coverage from Rod, Ross and myself throughout the week ! Paddy

Greetings from London! This is my absolute favourite city in the world, and I find it quite exciting that in around an hours time I'll be hopping on The Tube to attend the JDM Allstars Wembley drift event. I don't normally associate London with drifting, so it's a bit of a mind tease to be able to do this. I dropped in on the event yesterday to check out qualifying and thought I'd share with you a quick photo action sequence. This is Australian drift champion Luke Fink during one...

Reigning Formula D champion Chris Forsberg is to make his UK & European debut at the start of next month with a drive at the TRAX event in Silverstone on September 5th. The event will be host to the fifth and final round of the 2010 JDM Allstars series. Details are yet to be confirmed on what car he'll be driving but you can be assured of coverage of the event as Ross and myself take to the Northhampton based circuit. As the 28th of August gets closer (quite literally each day in fact) Josh Allen has released this ten minute video from the third round of the JDM Allstars series which took place earlier this month at the Nissan UK factory in Sunderland. The Wembley event will surely be the high point of the European drifting calendar for 2010. For further information on the event, check out the JDM Allstars website.

With the start of the 2010 drift season just a matter of weeks away, I wave a thankful goodbye to silly season. It's time to quash all the rumors whispers and general gossip surrounding the 2010 serving of the JDM Allstars championship. Niall Gunn of JDM Allstars has been keeping his cards close to his chest regarding whats happening throughout 2010 but after a brief spell locked in a refrigerated container he finally agreed to give us the lowdown on whats on the 2010 menu. The 2010 championship...

As its St Patricks day its only right we should feature a Irish driver to mark the occasion. Dublin based Danni Murphy is now in her 3rd year of competitive drifting was the first and so far only woman to have been granted a pro license in Ireland -backing up her licensing performance with consistent top 16 qualifying in her first 3 Prodrift Ireland events. She's now here in the UK making her mark as one of the up-and-coming stars of UK drifting. Danni made her UK debut in the 2009 BDC semi pro...

Here's another bit of cinematic action from the JDM All Stars event at Wembley Stadium - this one presented by JDM All Stars itself.

Lots of cool cars here, and I really like the use of a camera car in some of the shots.

Enjoy!

A lot of nice car films coming out lately eh? Here's a nicely done piece by Stephen Brooks from the recent JDM Allstars drift event at Wembley Stadium.

For my final installment from Wembley we are going behind the scenes looking at the set up and execution of the event. The build actually started on the Monday and a call from JDM Allstars inviting me down to have a look at the planned track was too good a opportunity to turn down, as its a fairly local event for me i joined the enormous car park surrounding London better known as the M25 and went down to see what was in store. Team Japspeed drivers Steve Biagioni and Shane Lynch were already on...
