Some of you had a ‘problem' with the amount of camber on my latest feature . So here is another take on a similar level, this time on a JZX100. The car is just as low but doesn't have the camber. The wheels seems to be a set of Vienna's Noble in black; the contrast works very well with the red exterior. -Jeroen Willemsen

What better way to start this month with the Spirant build JZX100. Any change is a welcome excuse to get this car on Speedhunter. This time the owner has had a small refresh with some new decals. The car is a favorite of mine for a long time. This car has the stance department on lock, it looks that good. -Jeroen Willemsen

If you're planning a trip to Japan, I highly recommend NOT going during the month of June -unless you enjoy wet weather that is. I've been here for two weeks now, and I don't think there's been a single day when it hasn't rained. With that said, here's some more rainy action from the Yellowhat Motorsports soukoukai at Nikko Circuit last week....

Cars that are built and driven in Japan by some of the greatest tuning houses are popular export products. It is pretty evident when I look at some of the cars that are competing in drift series around the world, especially when I take a look at my old car that I imported from Ken Nomura through Powervehicles. I sold the car to a guy in the UK and I was scared it would be taken apart, but luckily I saw some pictures of it drifting again....

As another perfect weather weekend in Southern California finishes off, I find myself thinking about Japan more and more. Looking through one of my terabyte hard drives full of photos, I spotted this JZX100 in my D1 Street Legal folder. I was lucky enough to see and hear this in person... it was awesome. Just remembering the incredible sound of the turbocharged 2JZGTE engine roaring at high rpm, with the hollow sounding 6 cylinder exhaust note bouncing against the legendary blue walls and pit garages...

A while ago I stumbled upon a blog called Nori Yaró , and I became a instant frequent visitor. Last Thursday I found this gem. A Toyota Chaser JZX100 with a BN Sports bodykit, crazy fenders and VS-KF chrome wheels. This thing looks to be in perfect condition and I suppose must be a show queen. I would love to cruise the streets in this monster and maybe pick up some girls at the local club.... -Jeroen Willemsen

The other day when I was in Tokyo, I decided I would try a new type of post here on Speedhunters. I was actually remembering my first trip to Japan and just how excited I was to see random cars on the street, and though it might be kind of cool to show what kind of stuff you see "in the wild" on Japanese streets. If you guys like this sort of thing, let me know and I will do it more often. Events and races are great, but there is always something kind of special about seeing an a cool car on the street....

When I was at the MSC event last weekend admiring all of the cool-looking drift cars, I noticed a black JZX100 Mark II that looked a little familiar. I had never seen the car at a drift event before, but being a big fan of the JZX chassis, I clearly remembered seeing the car at a grip event at Tsukuba Circuit back in March of this year. It was built by Car Make Rasty and you may have seen a photo of this car in my 101 post about the JZX series. Just looking at the car, you can tell that it is a bit different from the typical JZX drift cars you see in Japan. The car's aero parts are of a different style than those usually seen on drift cars, and the car's vibe just screamed "function"....

Off the chain!!! Exactly what I was thinking in my head when I saw this group of JZX chassis 4-door sedans doing a three-car tandem at the MSC Challenge at Honjyou Circuit !!! It was sooo exciting, I was actually cheering for them as they passed me!!! It was so incredible... Team Orange they're not, so they didn't have a completely perfect combination driving lines and angle and distance between the cars the whole time... but I don't care. I am also big, big fan of Magician - the Chiba...

Earlier in the month I showcased a couple of my favorite cars that can be seen competing in the D1GP series and while we love pro drift cars like those, we haven't forgotten about the grassroots and street drift cars which are such an integral part of the scene. I found this particular Saitama-based Toyota JZX100 on Minkara and knew it would a make a perfect addition to our month-long look at the drift world. The car is owned by Minkara member "さ~たん" and beautifully combines elements seen on both drift cars and on VIP sedans. The first thing that sets this car apart is the body style. While the JZX100 is very popular chassis for drifting, the Cresta model is by far the most uncommonly seen version as Crestas are heavily outnumbered by their Mark II and Chaser counterparts at the circuit and on the street......

Yesterday it was back to Nikko Circuit for another mid-week drift meeting, this one held by Kazama Auto Service and Pit ORC. As normal for this time of year in Japan, the weather was cloudy and warm, but fortunately the rain held off for the most part. After fighting a seemingly endless fleet of slow moving trucks on the highway, I arrived at Nikko Circuit to find tire smoke filling the air and a large number of cars already out on the course ripping it up......
