Here's some coverage from my first event of the year -the season opener in Holland. Streetpower by Automaxx is an event with a mix of activities at Zandvoort. It ranges from Gymkhana to Time Attack and off course show and shine on the paddock. I spent most of the day shooting the Time Attack cars and I was surprised to see how serious some of these machines have become over the years. Holland has made some enormous steps forward regarding car tuning. I didn't expect to see a R35 GT-R especially...

On my way back from a certain photoshoot I spotted this yellow EK Type R that has been imported either from Japan or the UK because the steering wheel was on the ‘wrong' side. It was cool to see this yellow car in between all the other dull looking cars. I didn't got a chance to shoot anymore because it's hard to handle your camera and the steering wheel at the same time, haha. -Jeroen Willemsen

I've seen a lot of this car recently as I've been spending a bit of time at Paul Vlasblom's garage for my own BMW E30 and have been planning to do a feature for some time. Unfortunately though, I've had to wait for the winter weather to clear before I could organize a shoot. So as soon as we got a sunny day here in Holland I pulled out my camera to take some snaps. The car is a Porsche Cayenne that's been tuned by Techart and is officially called a Magnum... I'm not sure if...

I'm sure a lot of you guys remember this random snap I posted about this flushed out Charger. At that time it was still a work in progress. In the comments, a hot debate started regarding the wheels and about the fact it was a domestic ride... at least for our American readers. In the meantime, I've continued to follow the build thread and just saw these pictures being posted of the finished product. I'm still amazed at the amount of presence this car has. It just looks like something...

Just saw this video from Simply Clean, a bunch of petrolheads from Florida. I loved some of the editing and the song, cool stuff.

This R35 has undergone minimal modifications but has maximum presence. The car looks almost stock, but those small touches like the Hasemi carbon frontlip and and sideskirt (can I call it that?) make it stand out. After seeing this car I feel that a nice drop can make any car look good. The drop has been achieved with a Esprit Quantum coil over set. It's cool to see that the owner still maintained the original wheels, although he did use spacers to push the wheels out a bit more. Recognize the...

After the R32s and the R33s it's now time for the R34, my favorite model. Once again I wanted to start with one of my personal favorites. I know that the R34 has been made with one thing in mind, performance. But these chrome Work Meister S1 wheels looks so good on this white R34. The black accents like the wingstays and the carbon spoiler on the trunk really make it pop. These wheels look huge from this angle. So maybe it's not the best performing car with these wheels but there is no denying...

Here we go with my next round, but this time with some R33 love. I will tell you that I'm not the biggest fan of the R33 because of the bulky looks, but with some minor modifications I can enjoy them from time to time. Let's have a look at what Global Auto has to offer. White seems to be a popular choice with the Japanese R33 owners, or maybe not because they are all selling their precious metal. This first one has a JUN front bumper and Nismo sideskirts. Wheels are SSR Professors with some...

The Yahoo auction site is a great resource for car pictures. One of the companies that tries to sell their inventory there is Global Auto and they have an excellent photographer. He takes pictures from every angle of the car so the buyer knows what he is in for. This gives us a great opportunity to see all the gorgeous cars they have for sale. They always have several heavily modified Skylines from all ages, but since today is March 2nd, we'll start with the R32. The one above is running on a...

In Japan there is one shop to go if you need something done to your R31 Skyline. They are called R31house and are able to turn any R31 into a true circuit racer. R31house also offer lots of track days for their customers as can been seen in the following pictures. A R31 saloon never looked this good. A set of gold BBS wheels, race inspired interior and some mild body modifications really sets this car off. The car is just waiting for the owner to take it for a spin at the Fuji Speedway. With its...

All eyes have been on the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada these past 2 weeks, so it's only fitting that we showcase a little piece of the west coast scene by highlighting some cool local S13s. These cars may look a bit rough around the edges but they do have oodles of style. I get the feeling these cars, there are just build to drift so they don't have to look like showqueens. The white S13 has had quite a history as it was vandalized last year. Some people spray painted the car and...

The owner of the Spirant JZX100 also owns a AE86 and he decided to spice things up a bit by asking a friend to pinstripe the car. I thought it looked pretty cool... Maybe he's even going to start new trend. You can see some more photo's of the pinstriping and some other cool stuff on the owners blog . -Jeroen Willemsen

I keep seeing these gorgeous cars pop up on blogs and forums proving the VW community is very much alive! A favorite is this burgundy red Mk3 owned by John Redfearn from the UK. This car showed up again when I got the latest fix of Performance VW . So I set off collecting some pictures from the web to create this spotlight. The car is obviously a Golf Mk3, but to the untrained eye it's hard to see all the modifications. It starts with the Vento front or Jetta as it is called in the states I believe...

Linhbergh sent me a link to a Flickr photostream for these old school American cars - he knows I'm not the go-to-guy for American cars, and I had to look very closely before I realized these are scale models! I've posted stories about dioramas in the past . Some of their details amaze me... The creator of these dioramas is Michael Paul Smith. In his own words, "What started out as an exercise in model building and photography, ended up as a dream-like reconstruction of the town I grew...

The new Hot version Volume 103 just hit the shelves and is a must see for all you GT-R enthusiasts out there. It features the Mine's R34 against the MCR R35, Esprit R35 and the Garage Yawata R35. The drivers are Keiichi, Nobuteru, Orido and ‘Tarzan' Yamada in the R34. It amazes me to see how these guys push their cars to the absolute limit.
I wonder how many of you guys guessed the right outcome before seeing the video.

I have been following the Battle Evome series for a long time, so it was cool to see that our own Speedhunter in Japan, Dino, was able to catch a glimpse of the series with his latest feature. The cars keep getting better and better so I want to share the three fastest vehicles that raced last Sunday here. I think most of you are familiar with these cars.... First up, the Arios Okuyama RX-7. They came in at 1'00.035 making them the third fastest of the day. Not at all bad when you consider that...
