Here is a video that Ken Block sent me this morning of himself and fellow rally driver Chris Atkinson having some fun in Ken's 1978 Ford Escort. Under the hood sits a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder Millington engine that boasts 280 BHP. It also is setup with WRC-styled paddle shifting and a six-speed sequential gearbox. I think this video does an incredible job of capturing the definition of fun!

In case you haven't seen it, here's Ken Block's latest Gymkhana video - featuring an appearance by his buddy Rob Drydek.

I actually found myself laughing out loud several times during this one.

Nice job!

Another early morning and another road trip. Today it was south on Interstate 5 and through some surprisingly light LA traffic to the Home Depot Center in Carson for X Games 15 - more specifically the rally portion of the event. I just got back to the hotel after a day of shooting, so here's a few photos from the day's practice and qualifying action....

In most motorsports from around the world, the first attraction is the cars and the technology behind them. Here is a car that needs no introduction. This is a car that seemingly defies physics under the hands of its driver. This is no infomercial, display of driving prowess, or showmanship. This is a car that has been absolutely overshadowed by something much greater than the actual car itself --the driver, Ken Block. I'm going to have to admit that I was not a fan of this car before I was given...

Did you guys all watch Ken Block on Top Gear this weekend? Watching Top Gear do their own take on Ken Block's Gymkhana Subaru sensation was something else wasn't it? I'm sure it was a ground breaking moment for him, as surely there aren't any automotive fans left in the world  who haven't seen the DC Shoes star going sideways with his Subaru... So what next? An appearance on Speedhunters perhaps? hmmm... maybe we can do something about that...

I do like it, when something new comes out of the underground to make people stand up and take notice. It seems like the crew at Format67.net have decided to respond to Ken Block's the Gymkhana film sensation with their own statement... something that brings the focus back to the streets, where this sideways craze all began....I don't know much about these guys, but they are exhibiting a good mastery of film-making and video post production...

Let me know what you think.

After much anticipation - it's finally here. Ken Block has pulled out all the stops (and props) to one-up himself and his original gymkhana video, and it looks like he's come damn close. I'm not going to spoil anything here, so just take a look.

What do you think, do we have another classic on our hands?

I don't think I need to ask, but do you remember Ken Block's gymkhana video that was posted and reposted on every blog, forum, and car website on the face of the earth? Well, based on the success of the first film, Ken is going to try and outdo himself with what's being called the "Gymkhana Two" project. The completed video should be released in a few weeks on June 1st, but in the meantime Ken and DC Shoes are releasing some short teaser trailers to build some hype for the new project. The first of these short teaser clips shows the '08 STI that's being specially prepped by Crawford for the film. Ken says the movie's new location and obstacles with a "few surprises" thrown in should make for some entertaining stuff.

All I know is that if it's even half as good as the original, it will be an instant classic.

Stay up to date on the Gymkhana Two project at Ken's blog on the DC Shoes website.

There is no such thing as the ultimate car video, but the Gymkhana video that Ken Block made with his Subaru comes pretty close. If you haven't seen his video, then you might be living under a rock, but here's another chance to redeem yourself. When I was browsing through Jarod Deanda's blog , I came across this mini site that Ken block made for this project with new footage and a explanation why he made the video. It got some cool new stuff so be sure to check it out....

What do you get when you combine an badass car with an awesome driver in a really cool location mixed with some fantastic film work? You get this fantastic video of Ken Block doing some gymkhana practice in his 530whp Impreza STI. This is seriously one of the coolest car videos I have ever seen. Watch and enjoy.

A few weeks ago I was invited out to X Games 14 by my friend and rally driver Ken Block. He had mentioned he would like me to be an extra set of eyes as well as his technical advisor, not to mention I doubled as his "party sub" since he had to skip out on all the festivities until the weekend was over in order to perform at 110%. Even though I have an already insane schedule this month, how could I resist this opportunity?...

I was introduced to Ken Block at Formula Drift in the Streets of Long Beach 2006 from a mutual friend. Some of you might know Ken as the cofounder of DC Shoes, but most of you know as him as a pro rally driver and the maniac behind the wheel of a factory supported, Vermont Sport Cars built, Monster Energy Drink/Subaru Impreza WRX STI that jumped over 170 feet for the Stunt Junkies show. Since our introduction we have had a number of conversations and we have always talked about getting together to...

I know that you all know the results of Formula D Round 1 by now. However, I thought I'd just share some "lifestyle pics" so you all know what it was like to be at the actual event! Check it out... As I was scanning the main Formula D grandstands for some of my friends (and by "some of my friends," yes, I do mean good looking ladies , you caught me!), I noticed this guy holding his copy of my hardcover photographic documentary book on DRIFTING. I thought it was sooooo cool...
