When Audi released the second generation TT a few years ago, the car's styling won over many who weren't sold on the first generation car. With just a drop and a set of wheels, the new TT could be transformed into something special, and that's just what Christophe Waterplas of Belgium has done with his '07 TT 2.0 turbo....

Euro flavour and supercar style may well be what automotive modification dreams are made of - but a 360bhp Volvo S60 for half the price? Well that's just pure final fantasy. SCREAMING around bends and ripping across high-speed sweepers are all part of the fun before wide-open throttle down The Green Hell's Antoniusbuche straight, but when an engine goes pop there's the ensuing urgency for many to get their motors 'back on track' fast. When 29-year-old Belgian Koen Lauwereys had...

Years ago, I remember my friends would always show me videos of the Berg Cup hill climb races in Germany. I didn't understand a whole lot about what was going on, but the cars were undeniably awesome. One model in particular stood out to me with it's small, fastback shape - the Opel Kadett. In Europe the Kadett Coupe is a bit of an icon, not unlike the AE86 is in Japan. The Kadett and the AE86 actually share a lot of the same traits - a light weight body, rear-drive chassis, and simple styling. Due to the car's cult status in Europe, we thought it'd be a perfect addition to our features this month....

It was a fun job to do, putting my best photos in 1 post even though my contribution isn't as big as some of the other Speedhunters. Many of the cars I shot where diesels, and you guys didn't always like this but this a dominant scenario in the Benelux scene. And the showcasing of car scenes from around the world is what Speedhunters makes so special. ...

A Lexus LS430 like this would be right at home in any wicked gang-banger, gun-toting computer game, but for lucky owner Jun Lu this car's sultry good looks is actually his reality up and down his local Texan streets. Bad ass! That's the only way to describe it, really. Up close with eyes closed, the burbling 4.3-litre V8 under the bonnet goes some way to allude to the intoxicating villany that stands before you, which then makes itself apparent as you slowly raise your eyebrows to visually...

Yes, people in Europe do fit airbags on cars besides VW's and Audis - case in point, Mike Neirinck's 2006 Mercedes W203. In case you aren't too familiar with Mercedes chassis codes, a W203 is second generation C-Class sedan. Mike is actually a master of all things air ride. Together with his cousins he owns a small company in Belgium dedicated to custom air ride kits. Being a fan of Mercedes cars, it was only natural that Mike chose one to serve as the company's demo car....

We've seen all sorts slammed and stretched cars this month, and not without a doubt Volkswagens are one of the world's most common platforms for this sort of styling. In some cases it can get a bit dull seeing Golf after Golf lowered on BBS wheels, but every once in a while you see a car like this one. There's nothing outstanding of gimmicky about the car, but it still manages to stop you in your tracks. It could be the color, the ride height, or the precise fitment of the wheels, but this MK5 Golf owned by Chris Peacock of Scotland manages to stand out from a very crowded field....

Dropped VWs are a pretty common sight in the international euro scene but it's usually Golfs which are chosen as the starting point for projects; modified Passats rarely show, let alone brand new models. However Johnny Despagne's 2009 Passat CC was a mere 3 days old when it was given the air ride treatment. It's one reason why we continue to highlight the Belgian scene on Speedhunters, members of this car community just love to take showroom fresh Euro sedans and drop them right to the...

When you think of the storied Alfa Romeo brand, you probably picture a nimble sports car (most likely painted bright red) navigating a racing circuit or a picturesque mountain road somewhere. What you probably don't think of is a luxury-themed sedan dropped on air suspension with chrome wheels and a bunch of ICE inside. Without seeing the car you might think it'd be a crime to such things to an Alfa, but one look at Ewold Van der Maeren's 2006 159 sedan shows that he must be doing something right. It may not be your typical Alfa, but it certainly hasn't lost any of its Italian sexiness....

You guys allready know that I have a weakness for air-bagged cars. I just love the stance and the look of the whole car when it's sitting on the ground. Believe it or not, this car is owned by a lady. Eva is a 200% Bmw fanatic and also owns the matte black BMW E46 that was featured on the cover of Euro Tuner last month. I have to admit this shoot is quite old, and she's already replaced the E93 with a E92 M3. I always loved shots on the full side on a car with air suspension, so you can see...

One of the good things about BMW month is that we can make great use of Kevin Raekelboom and his large archive of Europe-based car features . While looking through Kevin's photos for interesting BMW's, my eye was struck by this E36 M3 owned by Kirsten Geukens of Herentals Belgium. Besides serving as Kirsten's daily driver, the car is also used for trips to run on the Nurburgring - something Kirsten has become addicted to. With a car as good as the E36 M3 (especially in Euro spec!), one has to be selective with modifications, and Kirsten has taken a nice understated approach to this build....

Here's some event coverage straight from the country where it all started, Germany... BMW Syndikat Race Wars is the biggest BMW event in the country and takes place over the course of three days. Unfortunately, this year's event was hit by poor weather which also affected turn out. You'll see a lot of mud on the pictures because it rained all day long at Saturday. This edition would be better to have been called BMW mud wars! The e30 on the picture above is a tubbed dragster with +800HP!...

Every July, cars come from all over Europe to MIVW - short for Men in Volkswagen . It's probably Holland's biggest VAG event of the year. For the 2009 iteration, the organizers rented out a huge airport hanger - a pretty cool location! This worked out quite well as the Dutch weather was pretty poor this weekend so we got to check out these cars from the comfort of the great indoors. So in my past two car features, I saw some people were complaining that they are missing the 'Speed'...

Like I said in the Audi TT feature this morning, I used up all my current crop of AWD photos in the VAG month... but I'm sure you guys will like this Euro VW Golf as much as an AWD car, maybe better! This mk4 is owned by Davy, he likes to have everything perfectly finished. A real detail freak! And that's what we like at Speedhunters! Davy's mk4 is running on air suspension... like I said before there are loads of crappy roads here in Belgium and he likes to spare his car from getting...

Unfortunately all my AWD features got used up during VAG month, so I'm going to show a couple FF cars in the coming weeks, just to break things up a bit. This TT isn't AWD as Rod originally thought, but it's still worth a look, as it sports a unique one-off body kit. The body kit is made in full carbonfiber and is original from Audi. Wesley, 23 year old owner of this car, is the first and only person in the world with this OEM certificated kit. The carbon kit was painted in white and...

Yes, here I am again with a car on air suspension! Air suspension is for me is an easy way to display your car off at shows but then also have the ability to drive it safely back home... In Belgium, where the owner of this fabulous Mercedes 250S lives, most of the roads are quite bad and there are plenty of speedbumps. So it's more a way of making it easier to own a car like this. However air suspension is forbidden in Belgium, but none the less there are plenty of aired bagged cars over here...
