Just saw this small video in which a girl pays cash for a ride in a BMW M3. At first I thought it was a video made by BMW to promote their brand, but in fact it is made by some individuals with a very keen eye. Maybe this can work as inspiration for some of the videographers we have featured on Speedhunters.

I made so many pictures last Thursday, so I wasn't sure how I wanted to start this second post. I could do a separate BMW post or a Porsche post, but I decided to mix it up a bit. So there's something for everyone. In the opening shot you see the parking lot that's left of the entrance. On days like this you can walk around and chat to the owners or just check the awesome machinery that is present. The first car that caught my eye in this picture was the BMW M6 on the foreground. I'm...

It's the last race of the 2009 ALMS season at Laguna Seca where the finale has been held for the last number of years. One of the best places to finish a season without a doubt. Monterey is one of the prettiest places in the US and the track is one of my favorites. I've had decent success here in the past. I dominated here in 2005 with my teammates Justin Marks and Bill Auberlen in an M3 and finished well in every year after. Last year I lead for an hour or so in the aging Panoz and finished...

Now for my second installment I wanted to take a closer look at the track itself and tell you my experience driving shotgun with Stephane. The car we drove in was this immaculate late '97 E36 M3. It is a 3.2 evolution model in a rare alpine white color. I have noticed that this car is a lot of fun on the track especially with a few selected upgrades. The engine itself is pretty much standard except for a cold air intake system, the emphasis on this car has been the handling characteristics. It...

Since it is BMW month on Speedhunters, I figure I’d show you guys my newly painted E46 M3. White has always been my favorite color on cars so pretty much all my cars are white. The original color of the car was carbon black, but I decided to change it to a metallic white pearl. The pros at Garage Inc. in Burlingame, Ca performed the full color change. ...

It's going to be several hours before the sun rises in Vancouver, Canada but I'm already up and am working away on my last few BMW feature stories. The first subject to check out is another bit of Munich based Speedhunting that Dino and I did in Germany last Wednesday. We took our two BMW press cars and drove south from Munich for around 100 kms on the world famous Autobahn freeways. This journey is a story unto itself, but I'll let Dino talk about that in a separate post. I'll just...

If you already own one of the most extreme build drift S15's on the planet, what kind of car you would drive on a daily basis? It is the same question that Phil Morrison had to answer, in the end he chose this BMW E46 M3. It isn't the most modified M3 out there but it will surely turn some heads with its Eissenmann exhaust. The CSL bootlid is very popular amongst the BMW enthusiasts, this version is entirely made out of carbon to save extra weight. You also see the four exhaust tips from...

Going through my library of older shoots I came across this car that I shot back in 2006. Built by Il Salotto of Tokyo it was one of only a few import cars that have ever competed in the D1 Grand Prix championship. It all began in 2005 when Il Salotto turbocharged an M3 and tired their luck out in D1, but the car was never really competitive enough. They decided to abandon the M3 and start fresh with an all-new project based on a stock 318i. The E36 was fully stripped out, put through some serious...

The tuned E92 M3 you see here is a very special car. It is one of the latest creations Tanabe-san of Powerhouse Amuse had the time to complete before his passing around this time last year. Tanabe-san was always a believer of combining power with lightness, with such projects as his S2000 time attack cars, the Carbon-R R34 GT-R not to mention the Z33 380RS Superleggera. His love for performance cars wasn't confined to JDM machinery however, applying his knowhow to BMW's M-division models...

This clean E36 3-series wagon belongs to none other than 2008 EDC champion and UK drifting veteran Ben Broke-Smith, AKA Bon Bon. When he's not out sliding around in his Chaser or R32 Skyline, Ben can be found cruising around in this. Underneath the wagon body is essentially a full track day-spec M3. The only thing better than being able to rip around in a nicely tuned M3 is being able to do so with a bunch of your buddies and their gear inside. -Mike Garrett...

The E46 CSL that Paddy featured a few weeks back is a person favorite of mine, the same goes for Ronni Renaldi 's supercharged M3. I'm not sure if he wanted to build himself a CSLreplica, but with a E46 M3 he was off to a good start. In the end, I even think he has build himself something better! Ronni sure likes his cars, he previously owned a Audi S4 and a E39 M5 and has already sold this car to purchase a Mercedes Benz E55 AMG. At the front we see the signature CSL frontbumper made by...

I sit in an area of the huge EA Canada complex in Burnaby, B.C. Canada, right next to the Need for Speed marketing team. For the past two days they've been buzzing with all the great reviews that are coming in for SHIFT . It's no surprise to me, though... I mean just look at that image!... It looks completely real!... and the racing experience is just as refined as the realistic looks. So for my next game session, I thought to focus on building up two BMWs and take them out for spin on the...

I'm sure that you are all somewhat familiar with this beautiful piece of engineering -the Rahal Letterman Racing BMW M3 GT2.... And lucky for you, BMW agreed to let me get under the skin of the GT2 during my recent trip to Rahal Letterman Racing a few weeks ago. I've been following the development of this car with some interest since the racing program was first announced and made sure that John Brooks took tons of snaps of the car at Sebring earlier this year. The debut of the new racing...

The other day I showed you a random snap of an E46 M3 convertible from the East Coast's Digitul Heaven group. Coming from the same group is this two door E36 M3 owned by Edward Chen of Potomac, Maryland. Like the E46, this Estoril Blue M3 was originally built for winding road fun, but Edward has since become interested in taking his BMW out drifting....

Here's another reader's ride for you guys. This E36 M3 is owned by Arlo Vidts of Ghent, Belgium and is equipped with BBS CH wheels, AP Brakes, KW V2 coilovers, and a SuperSprint exhaust among other things. If that wasn't enough, Arlo's daily driver is a built E30 M3, which he actually prefers over the E36 for its raw feeling. I'd be perfectly happy with either one... This photo was taken during a trip to Belgium's Zolder Circuit. Thanks for the photo Arlo! -Mike Garrett...
