On Monday we asked you guys what kind of Speedhunting activities you had done through our Twitter channel . Shortly after that I got an email from Ronald Veth who paid a visit to the Volksdub event here in Holland. After looking at some of the pictures it seemed that the event itself wasn't very big but the quality of the cars was very high. Like the Golf MKIV above. You don't see many Golf's in this red color but it really makes the car standout especially with those split Porsche rims...

While I was busy shooting the Midwinter Meeting the guys in the UK had the Ultimate Dubs show. One of the cars there was this MKIV R32 that has been completely revamped. It now rocks 19" Rotiform TMB wheels. I have seen some work from the G-Werks guys before but they really outdone themselves this time. -Jeroen Willemsen

Seeing a Volkswagen on Bentley or Lamborghini wheels is something we have all seen before. But a MKIV on Nissan Frontier wheels is something new ! -Jeroen Willemsen Spotted on the VWhome Blogspot

An example of cross-breeding at its finest. The VW community is full of cars that have been created with pieces from other manufacturers and models, but this MKIV takes the bull by its horns.I had seen this car before in some magazines and on a couple of blogs, but this was the first time I had seen it in the metal. Can you imagine this started out as an ordinary MKIV? Greg Howell, one of the top painters in the UK built the car originally. Afterwards he sold it to a lady called Janet who started...

Just saw some pictures of the Ultimate Dubs event held in Telford, England. I can't wait for my next VW event after seeing some of those pictures. One car that really stood out to me is this MK4 R32 with Lamborghini inspired Rotiform wheels. The car they are under was built by G-Werks and I'm been told this car was built in 9 days. -Jeroen Willemsen

This fresh looking Golf MK4 was spotted at the recent Westside Show in the UK. You see a lot of rims that come from higher end cars ending up on cars in the VW community. This time the owner of this Golf got himself a set of wheels from the Porsche Turbo. It just shows that a design that has been made exclusively for a Porsche also works wonders on other cars. -Jeroen Willemsen Picture taken from Tej's flickr stream

There is just no denying that the VW community have the Stance is Everything theme perfected. Here we have another example that proves that. The BBS LM wheels are a perfect match for this Golf mk4, there is a little bit of tuck but I'm sure it can drive without a hitch. The black accent on the frontbumper is also a cool touch. -Jeroen Willemsen Thanks to Oliver Verheij for the use of this picture.

Back in the early 2000's when I was spending all my free time cruising around in a Camaro Z28 or 5.0 Mustang , I had a few buddies that were into watercooled Volkswagens. Although I didn't know a whole lot about these exotic German imports, I still remember being impressed by the cars my friends would show me in magazines like Performance VW. Most of the Volkswagens I saw had an aesthetic appeal and an attention to detail that couldn't be found in the vinyl-clad Hondas and Acuras that represented the other side of the "import scene" in those days. This 2001 GTI 1.8T owned by Alan Farrell of Ireland is exactly the kind of VW that caught my eye back then, slightly modernized of course....
