It's always a pleasure to visit Cars & Coffee, and I'm glad my coverage has been going over well. With it's vibrant mix of cars, there's literally something for everyone, nearly every week of the year.
Here's one more batch of photos from my visit to C&C last Saturday....

Besides all of the craze over the first US public debut of the Scion FR-S, there were plenty of other cool things to be found at Cars & Coffee last weekend.
Here's another batch of photos I grabbed on Saturday morning....

While the main purpose for my trip to SoCal over the weekend was to cover the Mooneyes X-Mas Party in Irwindale, I thought I should also drop by Cars & Coffee while I was in the area.
With a long day of Speedhunting ahead of me, I got up early on Saturday and headed down to the Mazda HQ in Irvine to take a look....

A few nights ago, Australian forum JDM Style Tuning teamed up with Downshift to hold a meet in Brisbane drawing an impressive turnout. The meet was held in the parking lot of a small shopping centre, north of Brisbane's CBD. These meets have strict rules against burnouts and other anti-social behaviour to avoid any unwanted attention. A modified Toyota Hiace is not something you tend to see on Australian roads. The number of cars that continued to roll in provided non-stop entertainment. This...

As I wrap up the event coverage from my busy SoCal weekend, let's take one more look at the July 9th edition of the Cars & Coffee. It's ALWAYS worth getting up early to visit C&C as you are guaranteed a huge variety of great vehicles week in and week out....

Greetings from Portugal! My name's Telmo Gil, and you might remember me from my photographer's blog last month. On a recent Sunday, I headed out to a local S2K meet organised by a Portuguese group called the S2000 Team. In spite of the name, their meets often see a variety of other cars, including Maseratis and GT-Rs. This was their first meeting of 2011, and it took place in Coimbra, right in the middle of Portugal. As with most meets around the world, there were plenty of hoods popped so...

During my recent Japan trip with K-Tours I headed up to Nagoya from Suzuka to check out some of the meets that generally take place on Friday and Saturday nights. The majority of my group were completely ruined from a full day of drifting and spectating in the sun so there was only a small group of us who decided to check it out. We arrived back at the hotel in Suzuka and after a quick shower we headed up the road to the local MOS Burger for some long awaited dinner. If you guys haven't had this...

Last week I wrote about the virtues of the local car meet as part of our Speedhunters Things to Do Before You Die list.
What better way to follow that up than with a trip to Southern California's world famous Cars & Coffee meet?...

Of all the automotive activities we've added to our Speedhunters Things To do Before You Die list, this one might just be the easiest to check off. Becoming a regular at your local car meets requires little to no monetary investment, and very little travel. It's something that anyone can do. Yet, it's also one of the most rewarding things on this list....

Let's take a third and final look at Saturday's NFS SoCal event. With some of the best cars the Southern California has to offer making it out to El Segundo, I couldn't think of a more fitting event to wrap up our month long celebration of the car meet....

There's still plenty more to show from last weekend's NFS Socal event, so let's go ahead and jump right into part two of my coverage.
The S13 you see above belongs to Kyle from Violent Running Tribe. The battle scars just add to the look. Oh so tough....

Thought I would follow up Paddy's Dubshed coverage with another Euro-themed clip. This was sent to us by Bartek Hlawka of Poland. Looks like quite an event, and probably the only time you'll ever see a VW Cabriolet dragging against an R35 GTR.

NFS SoCal was a truly unique event for me. Not only would I be shooting the event for Speedhunters, I would be playing a big part in organization and recruiting cars for the event. Since Linhbergh was busy Speedhunting in Texas and Charles was in BC finishing up some SHIFT 2 work, I would be the lone and official Speedhunters representative at the event. Now I'm used to taking photos, but recruiting and being a "representative"? That was new territory for me. ...

Well, NFS SoCal is officially in the books. Had a great time today out in El Segundo, checking out some cool cars, talking to some great people, and even doing a little bit of gaming. I need to recharge a bit before jumping into my full coverage, but I thought I'd post up this quick photo as a preview.
I['d also like to sincerely thank everyone that came out, whether you brought a car or just came to hang out for the day. You guys helped make this one of the most unique and fun car meets I've ever been to.
More soon!

VWGolf.net.au had it's first birthday last month. We just hit 2000 members and all of our statistics suggest we're constantly growing and doing great. Instead of re-inventing the wheel this year we thought we'd reflect on the things that worked well last year, one of which was a big cruise to Terrigal .
This year we thought we'd organise another big cruise, this time a little further to Berry. ...

Tenn from Thailand just emailed us this great clip showing an evening classic car meet that happens regularly in Bangkok. The host of this particular gathering was @Speed Garage, which as you can see has quite a collection of vintage iron.
Thanks for the link Tenn!

We are expecting a massive turnout for Saturday's NFS SHIFT 2 Launch event and car meet at Source Interlink Media in El Segundo. For those loyal Speedhunters readers in SoCal that own high quality cars, we are offering up a select number of "premium" spots alongside Team NFS cars like the RTR-X....

Just a few hours after coming home from the Friday night import meet in Cerritos, I found myself heading down the 405 Freeway early on Saturday morning, bound for the city of Huntington Beach. My destination was another one of SoCal's well known weekly car meets - Donut Derelicts....
