Here are the highlights of day three and four of the Monte Carlo Rallye.

The event has now concluded with Loeb taking a well deserved victory. The Mini team must also be well pleased with their second place result, not to mention Petter Solberg and Mikko Hirvonen's excellent debuts for Ford and Citroen respectively.

Final Top 5 Positions:

 1.  Sebastien Loeb - Citroen

 2.  Dani Sordo - Mini

 3.  Petter Solberg - Ford

 4.  Mikko Hirvonen - Citroen

 5.  Evgeny Novikov  - M-Sport Ford

I've been fishing around the interwebs today, looking for Monte Carlo Rally photos and just noticed that Michelin has started producing a steady stream of WRC youtube videos on their website: Best of Rally Live.

And as not all of you WRC fans have access to Eurosport's excellent Monte Carlo Rally coverage, this should allow you to get a visual on the latest action. Enjoy!

When you picture a rally car, what model comes to your head? An Evo? An Impreza? A Citroen? If you are looking back to the gold old days maybe a Ford Escort or a Mini Cooper? How about a V8-powered Ford Falcon?...

Regular Speedhunters will be aware from our preview last week that the Intercontinental Rally Challenge started its season last week with the Monte Carlo Rally. It was a dominant and quite surprising win from Mikko Hirvonen in the all new Ford Fiesta S2000. Hirvonen led from the start from Skoda’s Juho Hanninen. Peugeot followed closely with last year’s winner, Sebastien Ogier (above!) and Stephane Sarrazin and Kris Meeke in hot pursuit. One of the favourites, Jan Kopecky had a dire start...

The legendary Monte Carlo Rally starts today, with a prologue stage in the French Riviera, en-route to Monte Carlo. The ‘Monte’ is one of the longest running motorsport events, dating back to 1911, and is normally part of the World Rally Championship. Due to the ridiculous FIA rule that rally venues need to rotate in and out of the World Championship, the premier class this year is the popular Intercontinental Rally Championship. The 'IRC' started in 2006 with the assistance of...
