The end of the month is coming up rather quickly and it's hard to believe the 7's Day was already a few weeks ago. I'll be posting a full feature on the green RE-Amemiya Maou RX-7 tomorrow so until then, and to get you all back into a rotary kind of mood, I thought I'd post up a desktop to its sister car, the yellow GReddy 3 from Umihotaru PA. Enjoy. Desktops Dino Dalle Carbonare

If you really want to get noticed at a car show these days you need something really special. We all agree that a good looking car starts with a nice set of wheels. Well how about these 24k gold dipped RE30 wheels on this RE-Amemiya kitted FD3s? -Jeroen Willemsen Spotted on The Real JDM

There are very few shops like RE-Amemiya in Japan. On top of their activity as tuners, catering to everything the rotor-head may require, they have also proven themselves in the competitive racing world with their successful Super GT team, D1 team and at events like the Hot Version organized Touge Battle series. Amemiya-san understands what a performance car needs to offer the driver to both satisfy and be competitive, but he also gives great importance to looks having created, thanks to his great...

Last year in Japan I came across a Lotus Europa with a rotary swap, but that car is nothing compared to this project that Amemiya-san built back in the 1980's. With a tuned 13B making just under 280ps, this hybrid Lotus was able to reach 282km/h on the famous Yatabe Test Course. During this bygone era, the growing Japanese tuning industry was focused almost entirely on 0-400m acceleration and top speed runs on the now-demolished oval course in Ibaraki Prefecture. ...

I was just browsing my hard drive for Mazda photo's when I found this picture taken outside RE Amemiya workshop. After looking at the car in the front I realized it was a very rare Mazda Cosmo Sport that Antonio just recently turned into a random snap . The FD in the back should look familiar to all of you Mazda lovers out there. I always love these kind of shop photo's where you can see high performance cars on just a few square feet. Can anybody identify the hidden gem in front of the silver...

I'm more of a Nissan guy myself but I can understand the beauty of the Mazda, especially the RX7. For my daily doses of Mazda news I always log onto the RE-Xtreme blog run by Russell Gander. He always has the scoop on the latest info regarding the RX7. So for us Speedhunters it seemed like a good idea to ask Russell if he could describe his top 5 of best RX7's. After all was said and done, Russell send me a bunch of pictures and a story to go with it. Let's have a look at the cars he...

My friends and I just got back from a drive to Mitsuwa, my favorite Japanese market in Torrance CA... While I was there, I began thinking about Japan and how much I miss being there, even though I was just there about four months ago. This being said, I began looking through one of my hard drives, and spotted this photo of RE Amemiya's D1 Street Legal FD3S RX7. This car is a lot more "normal" than the Amemiya D1GP competition FD that's always in magazines and videos. D1 Street Legal...

Before I move on to the rest of my D1GP Fuji coverage, I wanted to take a quick break and post up a few photos from the all-rotary meeting that was held at Fuji Speedway alongside the D1 event. I was pretty occupied with shooting D1 itself, so I didn't have time to look at all the sexy FD's and RX8's very closely, but I was able to go for a quick walk around the meet and snap a few pictures along the way. Japan's big rotary tuners like RE Amemiya and R Magic had a big presence there and their parts could be seen on a number of the cars packed into one of Fuji Speedway's many parking lots....
