We've featured quite a few reader-owned FC RX7's this month haven't we? Here's one more, owned by George who represents the great state of Arizona. Somehow when I see this car, I get the feeling that if Nakai-san of Rauh Welt had an FC, it'd look something like this. That's never a bad thing. -Mike Garrett...

A few days back I was browsing through the auto blogs I visit daily and found a link to the Mattfresh Blog from New Zealand. It became an instant favorite and has given me many new wallpapers to stare at. Recently Matt went to a drift event at the Hampton Downs circuit. Some familiar faces showed up and Matt covered the event in his own cool way. The opening shot contains so much win. Broken aero parts, worn tires, numerous sets of wheels and a cool AE85 in the background that's been dropped...

I have been following the Battle Evome series for a long time, so it was cool to see that our own Speedhunter in Japan, Dino, was able to catch a glimpse of the series with his latest feature. The cars keep getting better and better so I want to share the three fastest vehicles that raced last Sunday here. I think most of you are familiar with these cars.... First up, the Arios Okuyama RX-7. They came in at 1'00.035 making them the third fastest of the day. Not at all bad when you consider that...

So where has top kiwi drifter Mad Mike Whiddett been lately? In Onuma, Hokkaido – the northernmost tip of Japan that’s where – and he’s been working on a secret film project dubbed "Red Bull Drift-n-Ice". In a freshly built replica of his MADBUL Mazda RX-7, engineered by Japanese drift tuning shop Magic, and rolling on skinny WRC style studded snow tyres (with 275mm spacers!), it’s been Mike’s first taste of sliding on ice. Along for the ride, however...

Slava hails from the great state of Colorado and comes to us with a simple request - to help him fire up Colorado's drifting community. In his words - "So the drift scene here in Colorado is starting to die off. Me and a few others are trying to keep people excited about this s___ again so we can all have more than two events a year. A lot of people are quiting for whatever reason and less drivers just means that we cant hold as many events because of lack of moneys. Posting some of CO's hard hitters might help get people excited about drifting in Colorado again just from seeing us on Speedhunters" ...

Like 99% of car fans, I grew up with motors all around me – my old man loved his cars, often bringing classics back from Italy including a Lamborghini Espada, 1976 Porsche 911 and even began building his own Jaguar E-type until the unfortunate birth of the brother put a stop to things... Anyways, since 2004 I’ve been a ‘motoring journalist’ over on the UK title Max Power which, when you’re 16 at the time of starting work, it opens your eyes to the entire car industry pretty quickly. ...

Just spotted this FC on Al's Car Stuff blog . It rolls on a set of Work Equips with a very large dish in the rear, just enough to fill those arches. Love the understated look of this particular model. Maybe Carl can get some inspiration from this car, although it hasn't been made as a Time Attack car.

The Panspeed and Revo FDs tend to get the most attention during the many Time Attack events at Tsukuba... But this Screen Powers FD also deserves some love. This car packs quite the punch with almost 450bhp thanks to a HKS T04Z turbo. -Jeroen Willemsen Screen Powers

1.9? Why 1.9? Well I haven't got as much done as I'd like to have, but am still making progress, and am making progress in the planning stages as well. I've been busy prepping the car for a LOT of work in the coming months. Its pretty boring stuff at this stage, so don't say I didn't warn you. I spent almost 2 days crouched inside this beast removing that damn sound deadening. I used chunks of dry ice for the first pass (looked like an old high-school dance in my shop with the...

Should I even add words? This amazing all carbon Revolution FD has been seen doing some laps at the recent RE-Wars round 4 at Tsukuba. I can't wait for Dino's coverage of the Super Lap Battle at the same circuit. Will this FD take the crown or will some of the other contenders like the Mspeed R34 (my favorite) be faster? -Jeroen Willemsen

Here's a couple video clips that "Sassy", the owner of the IMSA-styled SA22C RX7 sent to us.

Besides the sights and sounds of the RX7, you can also catch a glimpse of many other Japanese classics running on the famous Suzuka Circuit.

Thanks a lot, Sassy!

Back in January when we did Mazda month, we ran a spotlight on this IMSA-styled SA22C RX7 out of Japan. At the time the car was done in semi-gloss black, but it's since been repainted in a glossy red. The guys from the 22C Works website sent us some photos of the remade car, and we knew for sure you guys would want to see them....

Its been too long since I posted that teaser, but check it out! I'm pretty stoked to be able to see a glimpse of what my project will look like when its done (next year). Here's where the nerd in me comes out, I mocked up this shot of the car in a windtunnel, not that it'll ever see one I'm sure, but a cool image regardless. There is a good chance I'll be doing some CFD tests with this car though, testing out various diffuser, canard, and wing set-ups. For the sake of these concept...

I've been working hard on the car in the garage as well as on the computer building up a visual target *that's what we call it in the games biz* for my FC build. I wanted something to be able to show people what this beast is going to look like. Enjoy the teaser! Should have the car really for IPO right around SEMA. - Carl Jarrett

I hope I'm not boring you with these Need for Speed SHIFT stories. Just a few more and regular broadcasting will be resumed ;>.... I'm very excited by the finished game and as I was personally involved in some creative design aspects of the project in its initial stages, I'm enjoying the opportunity to share and discuss the project with you lot. Here's an FD that I just built for myself. This is just one of several body-kit packages that you can purchase on its way to being transformed...

You might remember my blog post in July finding the car to start my newest project, a road race/time attack/hill climb/who knows 1988 Mazda RX7, as promised here's the official part 1 of my EPIC (please note my pretentious and humorous tone here) RX7 race car build! Over my break from work and after my eyes healed up from laser eye surgery I finally had some free time to get started on my new adventure. Step 1 is the messiest and dirtiest but pretty damn fun at times, the tear down... The tear...
