This low-riding Porsche 914-6 belongs to Speedhunters.com reader Martin, who sent me this stunning shot of his car. It sounds like quite a beast fitted with a close to 300 HP 3.5L flat-6, replacing the stock 110 HP 2L. On top of all the mechanical modifications, which also include 930 brakes and GT stiffening suspension plates, Martin also fitted the steel GT fender flares and had the rear ones further widened by 1-inch. The car rides on the stock 15-inch Fuchs wheels that sit neatly inside the arches...

I spotted this Ings-kitted Lexus LS this last summer at the Okayama round of D1, parked up in the VIP lot. It was probably running a ride-height controller to get the air-suspension to drop to their lowest setting I thought it looked pretty menacing. I think it could have done with more offset to get those 20-inchLS Sport LM VIII to sit a little more flush. Ings Website -Dino Dalle Carbonare

There is just no denying that the VW community have the Stance is Everything theme perfected. Here we have another example that proves that. The BBS LM wheels are a perfect match for this Golf mk4, there is a little bit of tuck but I'm sure it can drive without a hitch. The black accent on the frontbumper is also a cool touch. -Jeroen Willemsen Thanks to Oliver Verheij for the use of this picture.

Some of you had a ‘problem' with the amount of camber on my latest feature . So here is another take on a similar level, this time on a JZX100. The car is just as low but doesn't have the camber. The wheels seems to be a set of Vienna's Noble in black; the contrast works very well with the red exterior. -Jeroen Willemsen

This mk2 with what looks like to be Regamasters replicas looks stunning. In his previous setup the owner was rocking some Audi wheels, but I really prefer this more track oriented look. You can find more pictures on the owners Flickr account . Originally spotted on Supermade. -Jeroen Willemsen

What better way to start this month with the Spirant build JZX100. Any change is a welcome excuse to get this car on Speedhunter. This time the owner has had a small refresh with some new decals. The car is a favorite of mine for a long time. This car has the stance department on lock, it looks that good. -Jeroen Willemsen

Some of you should recognize this car as the 550 Maranello that has been build by Garage Saurus . It's a car that is constant developing. I have been following the build and I have been amazed at the quality of the build. This time they went out for a track day on the Fuji Speedway for some much needed testing. It is just a testament that Garage Saurus is still one of Japans greatest tuners. JeroenWillemsen

Found this really cool photo on the Noblesse offical site, taken before a huge nationwide Honda Fit meeting in Japan earlier this month.
Noblesse never fails to impress, whether it's with their sexy dress-up builds or their track cars.

So did you guys hear the news about a new Mad Max film being made? Somebody should contact the owner of this JZX90 Chaser in Japan for casting.
The specs on these SSR Formula Mesh wheels? 16x10 -27 up front and 16x11.5 -16 out back. This wheel setup combined with the old school flares and flat paint make this one of the hottest JZX cars I've seen in a while.

This car will race in the Camaro Cup in Sweden it will replace the older Z28 that has been used since 1999. The car uses a tube frame chassis made by HOWE Racing in the US. Ohlins suspension and Michelin tires will make sure the car handles like a true racecar. It is funny to see that this real American muscle car will be raced on the other side of the ocean. Check this Wikipedia link for more info about the Camaro Cup. -Jeroen Willemsen Spotted on Vizualtech

There's something about crisp fall weather that makes me fantasize (more than usual) about spending some time with a classic sports car and a curvy backroad.
It didn't help when I went to a car show on Sunday morning at the South Coast Botanical Garden in Rolling Hills and saw these two early Porsche 911's parked neatly in the lot.
Now if we could just find one these for a Speedhunters project car...

Sometimes it's really hard to believe that the high tech R32 Skyline GT-R is now over 20 years old. The R32 is just one of several iconic Japanese cars that recently have crossed the 20-year mark. Others include the S13 Silvia and the NA chassis Mazda Roadster.
Surely these cars will be the "nostalgics" of generations to come.
The car in the photo is the Auto Gallery Yokohama R32, seen at Tsukuba Circuit last year.

Without a doubt the aggressive wheel fitment trend is exploding in popularity. In fact I'd say it's almost getting rarer to see new builds that don't have wild wheel fitment. Even with all the "flushness" out there today, there are still some cars that stand out from the crowd. One of them is this AP2 S2000 spotted on the HellaFlush blog.
Maybe it's the bright red paint, or maybe it's the gleaming faces of the Enkei RPF1's, but Damn this car looks cool.

I have seen this car popping up on several blogs and I just found this amazing picture made by Mike Gilbert . This VW Jetta has an amazing stance and the Borbet wheels are the perfect match for it. I especially like the polished lips on the wheels, it's a very nice contrast with the black centers. -Jeroen Willemsen

Once again I'm off to the Nürburgring for a closed trackday. The car list was the first thing that got me interested, the second thing was that they would open the pitlane so the cars will go full throttle on the long straight. On the car list I saw cars like the Gumpert Apollo, Nissan GT-R, Corvette Z06 and the Porsche GT2. I have already made contact with several people that will attend this ‘event'. But I wondered if there are more Speedhunter readers who will join the fun?...

I'm about to head out the door on the way to Irwindale Speedway to check out practice and the NFS Shift competition, but before I leave I wanted to post this dumped Accord Wagon photo from Minkara.
How cool would it be if Acura brought over the new Accord Wagon/Tourer as the TSX Wagon for the US market?
Not likely, but it's fun to think about.
OK, off to the House of Drift!

I saw some of the comments in my previous random snap , asking what lap-time these cars do on Tsukuba. Well almost all cars build by Rauh Welt are around the 1 minute mark, as can be seen here . Funny thing is though that a Nissan S14 was faster than all the Porsches during this race. -Jeroen Willemsen

With Dino's fantastic Hakosuka feature and our JCCS coverage it seems like we've been on a bit of Nostalgic JDM kick this week. Sticking with that theme for a moment, we have the Honda EV-N Concept, which will be shown at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. Although it features a high tech electric drivetrain, the exterior was clearly inspired by the original Honda N360 of the late '60s.
Anyone else think this would look awesome dropped on 12 or 13-inch RS Watanabes or SSR's?

After getting back to Japan at the end of last month I had to spend some time organizing and backing up my picture library. Like every time I do this kind of thing, I unavoidably start looking through old galleries which is where I stumbled upon this snap I took in LA a few years ago. The car is owned by a friend of mine, a true enthusiast that takes his passion to extremes by exercising great care in modifying all of his cars with a very authentic JDM feel. It rides on white 18-inch Yokohama Advan...
