Over the past couple of days a stream of 2012 F1 cars have broken cover. Lotus F1 Team (formerly Renault) launched their E20 with this YouTube video featuring Jonny Smith.

Today Red Bull pulled the covers off the RB8, which designer Adrian Newey says is a continued evolution stemming back to the RB5. Will this be the car to take Vettel to a hat-trick of World Championships?

Meanwhile at Jerez in Spain, the Sauber outfit debuted the Ferrari-powered C31. “The C31 is revolutionary where we had fresh ideas, particularly at the rear of the car" said chief designer Matt Morris. "And it is an evolution where we knew we could carry over certain approaches.”

Force India are hoping their new VJM 05 will guide them to fifth place in this year's Constructors' Championship.

With last year's driver line-up of Jamie Alguersuari and Sebastien Buemi dropped, it will be Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne who will drive the Toro Rosso STR7s.

Pre-season testing gets under way tomorrow at Jerez, with the Championship kicking off in Australia in just over a month.

One of the highlights of the International Racing Car Show is always the Formula 1 Grid: a rare opportunity to examine up close an almost full-house of current F1 machines – and perhaps the only way without having some very well-connected friends and a whole neck-full of passes. Even dedicated racing magazines and sites only infrequently show close-ups of the detailing of the cars, so I found it very interesting to be able to see for myself the surprisingly large differences between the current...

It was bound to happen. After Sebastian Vettel claimed back to back Formula 1 Drivers' World Championships in Japan, it seemed like only a matter of time before Red Bull Racing would also stitch up the Constructor's Championship. And that's exactly what they did in Sunday's Korean Grand Prix. Although McLaren were able to finally break RBR's stranglehold on pole positions, they weren't able stop Vettel from claiming his 10th win of the season. Congratulations to the Red Bull...

The Khardung La road in India winds its way up to a staggering 18,380ft. Arguably the world's highest driveable road, it's probably the last place you'd expect to see a Formula 1 car. The Red Bull Racing team however, are somewhat used to bringing F1 cars to places you'd least expect. Through their Running Showcar program, they've taken F1 to the streets of many cities around the world. They've also driven it on everything from frozen lakes to beaches. Tackling the Khardung...

It's been over three years since a Speedhunter last set foot inside the world's largest collection of Grand Prix cars, so when passing Donington one morning in August, I couldn't resist dropping in for my own first visit. I've been to Donington a couple of times in the past for Prodrift and JDM Allstars events, but could never find the time to visit this rather humble looking museum. Donington Park has quite an illustrious history with Formula One and has featured some amazing battles...

When you think about Formula 1, there's a few key factors that instantly cross your mind: the cars, the drivers, the glamor, and of course, the exotic locales. And if there's one team that exploits the exotic locale factor the most, it is the Red Bull F1 team. Earlier this year, the team was in Austin, Texas driving in the dirt at the new US F1 circuit and also in streets of Hong Kong showing off their Formula 1 car to 43,000 fans. This past weekend, the Red Bull team once again checked off...

A good number of automotive related videos are watched on a daily basis at the Speedhunters offices. And lately, the influx of drifting related videos has sky rocketed. But when this film, from YAER Productions came across our desk, following Formula Drift driver, Ryan Tuerck, we were rather taken aback by its fresh take on a scene that has seen its fair share of videos. The film chronicles the moment when Ryan is waking in his hotel room, to the daily humdrum of the morning and finally, to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for a good bit of tire slaying.

Ryan is currently 6th in the driver's championship with one more round to go.

Usually you expect to see a Formula 1 car hurtling around a race track, so it's quite a sight to see one in a rather different environment. Last month we showed you Red Bull Racing's preview of Circuit of Americas, and recently the team have released this video showing David Coulthard running wild in Texas. Enjoy!

Hollywood actor Tom Cruise has taken a break from producing and starring in Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol to go for a spin in a Red Bull Formula 1 car. Cruise, who is apparently quite an avid racing fan, was given a seven hour session at Willow Springs in California, completing 24 laps. F1 cars are complicated machines, so a 12 person crew was flown in from Milton Keynes to operate the vehicle. His instructor for the day was former F1 driver David Coulthard. "I was surprised he picked it...

The direction which North American professional drift cars are progressing into is a hotly contested topic. One thing is for certain, the cars are getting louder, they're getting faster and they're billowing out tire smoke by the metric ton. The faint twirl of a blow-off valve has been replaced by the almost defining roar of V8s with the top tier competitors' V8s packing the most punch and the most thunderous noise. British videographer, Stephen Brooks, couldn't get over the fact...

Rod Millen, one of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb’s living legends, will once again return to compete at the second oldest motorsports race but this time in the Time Attack 2WD class. He will be driving his son's, Rhys Millen, Hyundai Genesis Coupe with the target to once again set a record on that famous mountain. Rhys' 2009 two-wheel drive record of 12:09, which was achieved with his Hyundai Genesis drift car, was broken last year by Jeff Zwart in a Porsche cup car with a time of 11:31...

Fast becoming a tradition on the Internet, Red Bull have produced a video to explain the changes for the coming Formula One World Championship which kicks off this weekend in Melbourne Australia.

Want to get up to speed with the teams? Take a look at our F1 launch post last month. All current, other than Nick Heidfeld is now keeping Robert Kubica’s seat warm while he recovers.

Our race car launch coverage continues with a catch-up on the new 2011 Formula One cars which have been unveiled recently. The first F1 test of the season has just finished in Valencia and with many teams running their new 2011 cars for the first time. The most significant changes for 2011 are the new Pirelli tyres, replacing Bridgestone, the re-introduction of the KERS energy device and a new driver adjustable rear wing (above), which is supposed to improve overtaking. The driver can move the wing...

Earlier this year, Tanner Foust slid his Formula D Scion tC up and down the infamous Mulholland Drive. From the looks of it, Rhys Millen wanted to play the game of one-upsmanship, with a sequel to Will Roegge's Pike's Peak film, Climb Attack, by drifting his 750HP Hyundai up the side of Serra Do Rio Do Rastro in Santa Catarina, Brazil.

Full video will be released on November 25th. We can't wait.

Found this on Red Bull’s media site….Not many teams would have the balls to show their crashed car on their own press site, particularly after a Red Bull 1-2 was on the cards. As it was, Mark Webber crashed and Sebastian Vettel’s engine went pop, leaving Fernando Alonso to the win the Inaugural Korean Grand Prix, from Lewis Hamilton. With two rounds to go. Alonso leads from Webber, with Hamilton in 3rd, Vettel is now 4th. Who do you want to win the 2010 Formula One World Championship...

After seeing a teaser video posted by Linhberg it is time to see what the end product will look like. This will be the car that Rhys Millen is going to use to beat the record on the Pikes Peak Hillclimb. It is a complete tube framed car with lots of carbon fiber and it will be powered by a 4.1 liter V8 capable of producing 750bhp. Will it be enough to break the 10 minute barrier? -Jeroen Willemsen spotted on Jalopnik
