A good number of automotive related videos are watched on a daily basis at the Speedhunters offices. And lately, the influx of drifting related videos has sky rocketed. But when this film, from YAER Productions came across our desk, following Formula Drift driver, Ryan Tuerck, we were rather taken aback by its fresh take on a scene that has seen its fair share of videos. The film chronicles the moment when Ryan is waking in his hotel room, to the daily humdrum of the morning and finally, to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for a good bit of tire slaying.

Ryan is currently 6th in the driver's championship with one more round to go.

The direction which North American professional drift cars are progressing into is a hotly contested topic. One thing is for certain, the cars are getting louder, they're getting faster and they're billowing out tire smoke by the metric ton. The faint twirl of a blow-off valve has been replaced by the almost defining roar of V8s with the top tier competitors' V8s packing the most punch and the most thunderous noise. British videographer, Stephen Brooks, couldn't get over the fact...

What's up everybody! My name is Ryan Tuerck. When I first started drifting I had no idea what it actually was. I would just go out at night and practice donuts and kicking the car sideways from a stand still. I found out what drifting was back in 2002-03 and although there weren't any sanctioned events to go slide my car around, I got more serious and actually started scouting spots. It became my entire life. I had a whole route planned out for night time or when it rained. I would go out...

Man, it seems like it was just a few weeks ago when we were sweating our behinds off at Formula Drift Atlanta. Oh wait, that was just a few weeks ago. Anyways, the 2010 FD season rolls on this weekend, into the land of the roadside diner, Springsteen, and the fist pump. Here's a little look at what went down today at a very hot and humid Wall Speedway....

Here is a sweet video of Ryan Tuerck tearing it up in his street car I wanted to share. It was shot and edited by Andy Laputka. That is one huge snapping turtle!!!

What’s up everybody? My name is Ryan Tuerck, I'm a 25 year old who competes in the premiere drifting series in the US, Formula D. I have been in some form of racing for the better part of my life. I grew up racing Motocross with my two brothers. I raced for 10 years starting as a novice on someone’s old used equipment and finishing as a pro on a brand new bike. Motocross taught me a lot of useful skills that have carried their way into drifting, making the transition to cars very natural. I drive the Gardella racing Mobil 1 Pontiac Solstice. I started with Gardella racing in 2008 with a mostly production based car. We finished the season with a career high 6th place in the Formula D championship. This year 2009, Gardella racing pulled out all the stops, leaving no bolt untouched and built a drift car with the hopes of winning the '09 Formula D championship. ...

With just a few weeks to go until the 2009 Formula D season opens on the streets of Long Beach, we've been getting a lot of fresh info regarding new drift cars and updates of current cars. The guys at Gardella Racing in New Jersey have just released some photos and info on the Pontiac Solstice that Ryan Tuerck will be driving in FD this season. In 2008, Tuerck had some nice showings in the capable, but simple-looking Solstice, and there's no doubt that he should be able to improve on that with this new car....
