Speedhunters reader Angela W just sent through some photos of her slammed S2000 street car. Grand Prix White is certainly one of the most desirable colours for S2000 enthusiasts. Angela's '00 AP1 example received plenty of work to the fenders, with rolling and pulling required to fit the BBS RS rims. The three-piece wheels have been given a coat of candy red. Angela's S2000 has a fair amount of suspension modifications. Along with Stance GR coilovers, Angela has also fitted SPC adjustable...

Greetings from Portugal! My name's Telmo Gil, and you might remember me from my photographer's blog last month. On a recent Sunday, I headed out to a local S2K meet organised by a Portuguese group called the S2000 Team. In spite of the name, their meets often see a variety of other cars, including Maseratis and GT-Rs. This was their first meeting of 2011, and it took place in Coimbra, right in the middle of Portugal. As with most meets around the world, there were plenty of hoods popped so...

I'm not sure why it is exactly, but I really love this photo that Alexander Card sent us of his S2000 up on California's Mt. Wilson in the snow. Something about this picture makes me want to hop in an open-top car and hit up some great roads, regardless of what the weather is like... Thanks for the shot Alex! -Mike Garrett

Being a part of the circus that is Formula Drift for a few years now, I had the opportunity get to know quite a few people that run the show in the background. One of these many cogs in the clockwork that is FD is starting line up guy, Luke Crowell. During the breaks between runs, we'd talk about our lives outside of FD. Luke has always mentioned about his Cressida he's been building over the past few years, but this year, he mentioned about a Datsun 510. When he started talking about what...

Last Saturday was meant to be a very rare day off before the season kicks into gear this weekend. A day of relaxing and chilling out in Kilkenny was momentarily interrupted by the familiar sound of VTEC echoing through the narrow streets of the town centre. Armed with a point and shoot camera, I managed to snap this before the car quietly blended in with the rest of the traffic. I didn't catch much about the car only for it was running on some Spoon wheels. It makes me want an S2000 in so many...

This Honda S2000 belongs to Honda Verhagen , a Honda dealership in Rotterdam, Holland. In 2010 they raced this car in the Dutch Supercar Challenge , a series that is completely independent and runs solely on entry fees and sponsors. Unfortunately they weren't able to reach a podium finish last year. So to be more competitive this year they needed more power and contacted Hontec and R-Developments for an engine rebuild. Verhagen bought the car in 2009 from Fleper Motorsport after they retired...

For the second of my Honda galleries from good old Tsukuba Circuit, I thought I'd pull a selection of S2000 shots out for you guys. You have to love scenes of Honda's open top sports car winding around one of Japan's most well known circuits. ...

We've all been there. Scouring through the classifieds, trying to find that perfect second hand car deal, a car that has everything, no damage, the right tuning parts, never been tracked and has painstakingly been maintained. Such cars aren't a myth, they actually do exist, and this S2000 modified and looked after by the guys at Spoon is one of them. During the media test drive of the Spoon CR-Z up in Hakone I just couldn't help but grab a few shots of the S2000, the car that Ichishima...

Here is a lucky find. After covering the Exciting Car Showdown in Nagoya I spent most of last week down in Osaka for my usual yearly trip in search of cool shops and cars. Osaka is much like any big Japanese metropolis with one big difference, the people. Everyone is so chilled out, easy going and unstressed, it kind of reminds me of Italy. It's a pleasure to spend time with people in the industry as they all welcome you with open arms and enjoy taking time off to talk cars. And boy do they like...

Was over at J's Racing in Osaka today to check out their shop and shoot some of their coolest and newest rides. I would have loved to snap away at their S2000 time attack beast, but it was sitting in the back of the workshop undergoing some routine maintenance. Not to worry however, the guys at J's let me grab a couple of shots as it sat perched up on one of the lifts. If you think about the world's great Honda S2000s, the ASM time attack car is one that certainly comes to mind. With all of its wind-tunnel tested aero, carbon fiber construction and a limitless budget - it represents the pinnacle of the S2000 as a tuning platform. The yellow AP1 you see here though, is everything that the ASM car isn't....

Inside the S2K movement are a few people that keep pushing the envelope of what can been done to their favorite platform. Some of them build their car's for trackdays and others are building them according to the latest fashion. These cars are beginning to look like the ultimate fashion statement just like this red S2K. -Jeroen Willemsen Spotted on msutai1's photostream

When we talk about time attack cars, we usually find ourselves focusing on the monster that run in the higher classes of competition. But as impressive as cars like Rado's Scion or the HKS CT230R are, they bear little resemblance to the cars that everyday dudes can afford to build. That's just one of the makes things this Evasive Motorsports-built Honda S2000 worth a look. ...

Here's some coverage from my first event of the year -the season opener in Holland. Streetpower by Automaxx is an event with a mix of activities at Zandvoort. It ranges from Gymkhana to Time Attack and off course show and shine on the paddock. I spent most of the day shooting the Time Attack cars and I was surprised to see how serious some of these machines have become over the years. Holland has made some enormous steps forward regarding car tuning. I didn't expect to see a R35 GT-R especially...

I've been shooting time attack events in California for a while now, and at each event I always find myself gravitating towards the cars built by Evasive Motorsports. Part of it is the fact they are usually at the top of their class, but another was their perfect resemblance to the Japanese time attack cars we love. Needless to say, when Evasive main man Mike Chang asked me to come out and have a look at the shop, I couldn't turn him down....

I've been on a real Honda S2000 kick lately, and this morning I found myself going through old photos looking for shots of cool S2K's. These two were found at the '08 "I Heart Honda" event at good old Tsukuba Circuit. Without a doubt the aggressive wheel fitment trend is exploding in popularity. In fact I'd say it's almost getting rarer to see new builds that don't have wild wheel fitment. Even with all the "flushness" out there today, there are still some cars that stand out from the crowd. One of them is this AP2 S2000 spotted on the HellaFlush blog. Maybe it's the bright red paint, or maybe it's the gleaming faces of the Enkei RPF1's, but Damn this car looks cool. -Mike Garrett...

The BMW 320Si is one of the most popular and successful touring cars of the modern era. In this car feature, we will look at the Team Airwaves British Touring Cars of Jonathan Adam and Rob Collard with the aid of images from Peter Still, John Brooks and Jonathan Moore. The BMW 320si is a S2000 class touring car introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2005. Over 2000 production road cars were built to suit homologation. The production cars are powered by a 2-litre unit based on the older E46’s...

Just stumbled upon this pic of a very wild S2000. It features a very aggressive bodykit with lots of bolt on parts like the Amuse rear bumper, Spoon hardtop and very wide fenders. The wheels are a set of aggressive looking FN-01r's made by 5Zigen, they look to me like 17". -Jeroen Willemsen

I live in the middle of a small city in The Netherlands. It's a great place to live, but there's one big drawback: I don't have a garage to store my cars. So you can well imagine how envious I feel when looking at this garage, especially because it houses two Mugen kitted S2000s... Oh well, you can't have everything right?...
