When I recently found out that the owner of this dedicated track S15 Silvia manages to lap Tsukuba in 55-sec I knew I had to dedicate a small post to this incredible car. Suzuki-san, the owner, had his time attack project built by Scorch Racing and Ennepetal with a goal of achieving the fastest possible amateur time around the small Ibaraki-ken circuit. For a privateer to achieve times dedicated tuning shops employing professional drivers would boast about, is simply mind-boggling. And the base of...

We can talk all day about numbers and sub-minute laps around Tsukuba. But actually seeing how fast a fast lap looks like from the driver's seat really puts things into perspective. This is Hiro behind the wheel of his Exceed Moat 07B S14 at Tsukuba managing a 58"540 lap and hitting a top speed of 212 km/h on the back straight. Check out the cool Racepack IQ3 data logger display, I'm pretty sure I saw 1.7 G in one of the corners!

Hey guys. My name is Colin Masterson from S12silvia.com among other places. I hail from the Pacific Northwest. The land of endless rain and a severe lack of sunshine. Oddly enough, right now, where I grew up in SoCal, it is taking more of a beating than we are up here. Despite location, there are several consistencies and one of which is the love of cars. I am here not to represent the Pacific Northwest alone though. I am here to represent a single chassis that has an underground fan base around the world. It has been noted on Speedhunters a time or two and I know all of you know it from Henry’s car: the Nissan S12 Silvia....

Hey Speedhunters. My name is Alex Quail and I’m from Milton Keynes, England.
Living in MK (a few minutes from the Aston Martin factory), and thanks to my group of friends, I have always had an unusual fascination with cars and Japanese culture. Whilst other kids played with their Action Man figurines and skipping ropes, you could find me and my friends racing our Tamiya Mini 4WD cars across the playground. These interests naturally developed in to a love of Japanese cars as I entered my teenage years, and from that point on my life has pretty much revolved around trying to fund my obsessive hobby....

This is something you don't see every day, a full C-West bodykit on a street driven S15. I really love the color of this car, it doesn't shout but it does grabs your attention. There is one thing, I couldn't identify the wheels, they look like Gram Lights T57. -Jeroen Willemsen Spotted on Lord Bas Flickr

It seems a few of you may have been a little confused about our theme for this month. Although we ran some special S-chassis features to mark the dates of 1-3, 1-4, and 1-5, the S-Chassis isn't the January theme. Of course, that doesn't mean we won't feature a badass S-chassis that pops up. Case in point, this drag-tuned S15 from Australia....

To give you an idea of just how much response we've had to our request for S-chassis cars, as of now I've only had a chance to go through about half of your emails!
Anyways, let's keep right on going with more reader-owned S14's....

So are you S13 owners doing anything special to mark this day? An afternoon cruise maybe? Spending a couple hours in the garage wrenching? Maybe just a wash?
Anyways, it's time to unload the next batch of your S13 photos....

In fitting with our celebration of the Nissan S-Chassis, here's a repost of a story I did back in November '08.
And now for a look at the history of another one of Nissan's most famous cars, the Silvia and its sister-models. I'm sure when most of you hear "Silvia", you probably picture a tuned S13 or S15 blasting through a corner sideways, but the model actually has roots that go back 45 years. The first Nissan Silvia was the CSP311 model, shown at the 1964 Tokyo Motor Show....

I'm busy making a list with pictures of famous and inspirational S-chassis cars for the coming days. The cars I have so far include; Koguchi's D1 180SX, Rauh Welt's S15, Team Burst S13, Team Magician's S14a, Rocket Bunny S13, Nob's S15 and a few more. But I'm not there yet and I need your help. Which S-chassis car do you like the most and think should be mentioned in the list? Let me know in the comments! -Jeroen Willemsen

Last weekend at the Formula Drift awards banquet, an award for "Best Looking Car" was given out. I'm not exactly sure what criteria was used in the judging, but I don't disagree with the results. As part of our Driver's Month features on Speedhunters, we figured it'd be the perfect time to do a feature on the "Rossta" S15. On Saturday morning I took a short drive over to Garage Boso in Gardena where co-owner Frank Siharath showed me around the shop and rolled out the infamous multicolored S15 for some photos....

With the D1 Grand Prix all done for a good five months I thought it would be cool to take a look back over the last few years and more to the point at some of the top drifters that have participated in the Japanese drift championship. I've picked two names that are synonymous with D1, drivers that for some reason or another are no longer competing at a professional level in Japan. First up is Katsuhiro Ueo, in my opinion the best AE86 drifter out there... ...driver of the unmistakable Racing...

You may be thinking "Why such a basic looking S15?" This car may be basic, but its a very good example of a clean street car! It rolls on 17x9.5 Koya Drift Teks, Which although are quite common here in Australia, complete the look of the s15 very well. It has some nice tyre stretch all round which help the 9.5 +13 (effective) sneak under the guards! The car was imported from Japan a few months ago with a perfectly stock body. Zac the owner of this well alligned S15 has been in the "drifting'...
