I always love visiting shops and car builders. You see customer cars, cars that are being built and cars that you don't see at the car shows. While visiting JB Tuning in Nieuwegein, Holland, I was greeted by this Skyline R34 that was wrapped in matte white vinyl. The car behind it was a car I had never seen before and I first thought it was a Toyota AE86 but after a closer inspection I realized it was a Nissan S12. The 350Z is still a very expensive car in Holland so you don't see it very...

When looking at all the celebrities on the TV with all those nose jobs I always think they looked better before the operation. I had the total opposite feeling when I saw this Nissan Stagea. The R34 nose transplant on this Stagea is one of the most successful nose jobs I have seen in the metal. The guys at JB-Tuning sure know what they are doing. After building one of the most spectacular S15's on Dutch roads they are also responsible for this creation. Fred the owner of the car already secured...

We've all see pictures of Nissan Stageas fitted with front R34 or even R35 conversions. But honestly, is that even necessary when the stock car can be made to look like this? It's not everyday that you see a fully stripped out, track-prepared station wagon unless you happen to live in Osaka where Final Motion is located. This is one tuning shop that hasn't succumbed to the tightening regulations that have forced most tuners in and around Tokyo to go, well, a little soft. Things are very...

Whilst staying in Nihonmatsu for the week leading into G1GP and Autumn Matsuri, I headed down to Nikko Circuit where a private drift day was behind held. With this month's theme being Haulers & Sedans, this Nissan Stagea seemed to be an exceptional choice to do a spotlight on. I was quite surprised as to how well this car slid on the track, with very consistent runs lap after lap. The owner didn't speak a great deal of English but I managed to get some information out of him about the...

The R34 GT-R front is probably one of the most iconic car faces of our generation. It's no wonder it's been grafted onto a host of varying makes and models but one of the best executions was always onto the Nissan Stagea. The conversion kit was carried out by Masa Motorsport using their own M-34R GT kit which is composed of bumper, wing, bonnet and lights. The Stagea is quite close to it's Skyline family member as it also utilises a similar 4WD system to the GT-R (although without the...

After checking out the M35 AXIS yesterday I though I'd post another picture of the now discontinued Stagea. This is Nismo's own demo car wearing their S-tune aero kit and 5-spoke cast Nismo wheels. An S1 ECU boosts power from the VQ under the hood and a more thrilling sound is achieved via the free-flowing exhaust system. The car can still be see at the Nismo Omori Factory. The Nissan Stagea has for years dominated the premium side of the station wagon market in Japan. It might not be a looker, but it has a certain JDM charm about it that attracts those seeking well-equipped and well-priced alternatives to what the import market has to offer. The car you see here was a special edition version of the M35 Stagea called AXIS introduced back in 2003. So why a look at this car you may ask? Well I thought it would not only be appropriate for this month's Haulers &...

When it comes to mean looking station wagons you really cannot go wrong with Nissan Stagea. Like most cars it does take a bit of work to get it to look just right and the owner of this yellow example didn't hold back on the modifications. The R34 GT-R front end conversion really works on the WC34 Stagea and this 260RS model has the RB26 power-plant under the hood to back up the looks. Gotta love Daikoku PA! -Dino Dalle Carbonare

I noticed that there's been a lot of demand for Nissan Stagea content this month. I'm currently on the hunt (tips anyone?) for interesting Stageas to showcase, but for now here's a shot I took of one getting ready for its run down the strip last year at the Trust Zeroyon Festival in Japan.

One of the most popular modifications for the old Nissan Stagea was a front end conversion from an R34 Skyline GT-R, so I guess it's only natural that someone's done the same thing with an M35 Stagea and the R35 GT-R. This car was built by Kids Heart (Tezuka Tsuyoshi's shop) and debuted this weekend at the Nagoya Auto Trend show. Looking at these photos, the conversion appears to be extremely well done. It's not only the "face" that got the GT-R treatment, but the rear bumper as well.
Who needs the rumored GT-R crossover SUV when you can have this?
Check out Tezuka's blog for more photos.

Any fan of Japanese cars should be familiar with the Nissan Stagea. The first generation Stagea is known for being the closest you can get to having a Skyline GT-R station wagon and Autech even produced a limited edition RB26-powered Stagea known as the 260RS. In the early 2000's when the Skyline switched to the new drastically different V35 chassis, the Stagea evolved along with it to become the M35 chassis. It is essentially a wagon version of the V35 Skyline or Infiniti G35. It is pretty uncommon to see fixed up M35 Stageas, so when I came across this one while browsing Minkara, I knew that I had to post it up here....
