Now to continue the detailed build story of Titan Motorsports insane drag Supra. Take it away guys. With the car’s fabrication complete, the next step is to coat the raw metal in order to prevent corrosion. We are fortunate to have a great powder coater less than a mile from the shop that we contracted to coat the chassis....

This past Sunday was hectic to say the least. Most of the day's schedule was going to be taken up by the 86 drive that Toyota had organized, but what about the Gazoo Racing Festival that was being held at Fuji Speedway at the same time? Surely I couldn't just show up there and ignore all the goodness that was on display. My plan of attack called for a very early start in order to cram as many shots in as I could possibly manage before the 86 press presentation and test drive commenced. So...

The Speedhunters community is in full swing and almost every day we get messages saying we should check out certain collectables or RC builds. For the last few days I have been sifting through numerous forum threads when we received an email from Christer Stromark. In it was a photo of another replica of one of our Team Need For Speed cars. After I featured Matt Powers' S14 RC replica it is now time for this Supra that has been made famous by Fredric Aasbo. This Supra has been built by Christer...

There was only one car that was fitting enough to end this month's Street Cars & Sleepers theme. And this is it. For the past couple of years, the maniac known as Chris Rado has been devising plans to build his ultimate street car. Of course, for someone who pilots a 2000hp drag car and the Team NFS time attack car, his interpretation of 'ultimate' is somewhat more extreme than what you or I might come up with. For Chris Rado, his ultimate street car is this Toyota Supra. Metal wide-body, custom wheels, custom brakes. And a twin turbo V8 producing 2500hp....

When Mike mentioned that the rumor mill had started regarding a new Toyota Supra set to debut in 2014, the comment box exploded. This just shows how much we love ‘our' Supra. Mike asked you guys what you would like to see from a new Supra. But what about how it would look? Luckily we have some very talented 3D designers at our EA Stockholm office who whipped up this awesome looking concept, visualizing what a next gen Supra could look like. Their goal was to try and keep the DNA of the...

Something to be taken with a decent grain of salt, but Car Magazine UK is reporting that Toyota has a team of engineers at work on a new Supra for a possible 2014 debut. The Supra would join the FT86 in Toyota's rejuvenated lineup but little else is known about the successor to one of the most famous Japanese sports cars of all time. What would you guys like to see from a new Supra? Turbo? NA V8? Price? Sound off below. -Mike Garrett Source: Car Magazine UK...

In our last segment, we showed you the initial build-out of the chassis. The chassis is the foundation for this project, much like a strong cornerstone sets the foundation of a great house. Now that the foundation has been poured, (or welded) the build and detail work begins from here. In this post we’ll take an in-depth look at the build process for some of the other major portions of the project such as the exhaust manifold, third member, and front end. We’ll also take a closer look...

Fredric Aasbo smoked his Supra to victory at Trax, beating Super Pro BDC regulars Phil Morrison and David Waterworth to the top spot of the podium. Head over to the Desktops section to pick up a selection of images of the two Team NFS Toyotas who put in guest appearances – D-Mac finished fourth in his AE86. Grey skies couldn't dampen the spirits at Silverstone, and a big crowd was pressed up against the fences to watch the fifth round of this year's British Drift Championship. Aasbo's...

Here at Titan Motorsports we’ve spent the last 10 years building the fastest Toyota Supras and imports in the world using our bulletproof 2JZ engine combinations. Most know us strictly from racing, however our day to day operations are based around wholesale and retail performance parts mail order, as well as vehicle tuning performed at our Orlando headquarters. Late last year one of our great customers Ebrahim Kanoo contacted us about building him a new Supra race car that he could race in...

When I got a message through Facebook from somebody who I have met a few times before in the Dutch show scene saying he had some new material, I was curious. Then my mailbox got flooded with a bunch of pictures from a event in Denmark called DHB. After seeing all the photos I'm convinced that the guys in Denmark invented the word ‘Hooning'. You could witness some high powered Toyotas doing a quarter mile run. See some interesting show cars. Like this Golf equipped with an airbag system...

This is a shape that needs no introduction in the automotive world. It's the sister show car of the world famous twin turbo V12 Toyota Supra dreamed up by none other than the legendary Smoky Nagata of Top Secret . But that's not all of it. The tarmac that the car is sitting on is the old Waldgerade, or Forest Straight at Hockenheimring, abandoned since the 2001 modernization. Hard to imagine while I was there, how a decade ago it used to be the fastest bit of Hockenheimring Formula 1 circuit...

The Retro Toyota Gathering was held in glorious sunshine at the legendary Ace Café in north-west London – around 30 cars were in attendance for the initial meeting. The event was geared around pre-1990 Toyotas and AE86 4A-GE-engined models in particular, but an impressive range of cars were parked up front of the Ace come midday – with more turning up as the day progressed. Chay from the Corolla Brotherhood had pulled together the event with his group after seeing how successful...

Yesterday was the initial meet of the AE86/Retro Toyota Gathering in London, bringing together a pack of Corollas seasoned with a smattering of other classic Toyota models – plus the odd interloper. Shockingly glorious weather combined with enthusiastic attendees and London's legendary Ace Café venue made for an enjoyable afternoon wandering around the line-up of cars, chatting to owners who had travelled from all over the country and beyond to attend. Full story coming soon! Jonathan...

News has just reached us that Mr. Top Secret himself, Kazuhiko "Smoky" Nagata, will not be able to make it to the Import Reactor, in Houston, as well as the Texas Mile this up coming weekend. I'll let Smoky explain: "As you all know, Japan was hit by a big earthquake a few days ago and my company is north of Tokyo. Closer to the quake site and nuclear power plant. Until today, I was packed and still scheduled to go to Houston. I did not want to cancel the trip. It has been a very...

Formula Drift photographer, Jose Martinez, sent this photo of Fredric Aasbo drifting in what looks like a regular ol' flat parking lot. But when realize that its the Arab country of Qatar, it brings in a whole new perspective. Who would've thought seven years ago that a fledgling drift series in the United States would be traveling to exotic locals like Dubai and Qatar? The event takes place at the Qatar Racing Club skid pad. And because FD needed the judging tower, the track built this very...

Most of you will remember that last October I announced that I was handing over the day to day operations of Speedhunters.com over to Charles Kha, the former Editor-In-Chief of Auto Salon Magazine. I was simple too busy working as a Creative Director on Need for Speed video games to truly give Speedhunters the attention it deserved. This personally was a pretty difficult decision for me, but at the root of it, I was absolutely determined get further involved in the SHIFT2 UNLEASHED to see if I couldn't...

As we have a 'Behind the Scenes' theme going on this month, I thought I would give an insight into how my SATS Cosworth shoot played out. Rarely do I get the chance to leave the confines of mainland England for a shoot, so when a call from Mark Luney informed me of the chance to shoot the SATS Supra in its 2011 livery in Northern Ireland I didn't need to be asked twice. In this day and age of easy traveling between countries and looking back on the almost intergalactic mileage covered...

For 47 years he was the man behind every iconic Toyota sports car made. His life ended abruptly earlier this year at a place he called home, the Nurbugring. As a tribute to his life and achievements, Lexus has put together the above video. It's short and to the point. RIP Naruse-san!
