So what have our favorite Formula 1 personalities been doing over the summer break?

David Coulthard found himself at the Circuit of the Americas construction site in Texas driving a Red Bull F1 around some dusty dirt roads, not unlike them Duke boys in their Dodge Charger.

If you follow international motorsport at all, then you probably know about Circuit of the Americas being constructed right now in Austin, Texas in preparation for the 2012 Formula 1 US Grand Prix.

Naturally us Americans are pretty excited about this, and the Circuit has been releasing some cool time lapse footage showing construction progress.

Anyone planning a trip to Texas next year to see the return of F1 to the United States?

I followed Fredric Aasbo around on the last day of Ultimate Drift, presented by Formula Drift, to see what it's really like to be a Team Need for Speed driver. I start off the day in a golf cart with Fredric's spotter, Steffen Moy, at the wheel. We were heading to Motegi Racing's hospitality rig to meet with a sponsor. For some reason we kept getting side tracked. After an hour or two we finally made it. I think Fredric was wondering if he could get those in Scion tC sizes. Here is Harry...

We featured this 350Z owned by Edafe Omosowofa more than a year ago but a lot has changed since then. The feature created quite a stir with comments saying it couldn't ride and/or drift with this stance.

Now we have some more moving shots of this car thanks to the guys from AWOL.tv. They have really stepped up their game and are creating masterpiece after masterpiece. The video shows the 350Z with a new set of wheels and the new Zero Clearance suspension system made by Stanceworks and AST Suspension.

Check out the complete video at the link below

Chances are you probably haven't forgot about Edafe's crazy slammed Z33 from Texas that we featured last fall. Well, the car is alive and well, as proven by this photo taken by our buddies at Mayday Garage during a recent drift day at Mineral Wells Airport. The Lone Star State once again showing how it's done. Mayday Garage -Mike Garrett...

Peering down from the 14th floor of the hotel, you can just see the car show that is Import Reactor. The top floor is visible is just a one third of the actual car show. The show continues down two more floors! But, as you make you way to the car show in the parking garage, you pass through the hotel's valet parking which is filled with a plethora of exotic cars. Take this baby blue Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder for example. I've never seen this color on a Lambo before --I love it! While on...

A Lexus LS430 like this would be right at home in any wicked gang-banger, gun-toting computer game, but for lucky owner Jun Lu this car's sultry good looks is actually his reality up and down his local Texan streets. Bad ass! That's the only way to describe it, really. Up close with eyes closed, the burbling 4.3-litre V8 under the bonnet goes some way to allude to the intoxicating villany that stands before you, which then makes itself apparent as you slowly raise your eyebrows to visually...

VIP Style... Drift Style... Hella Flush (?) style... Lux Style... Time Attack Style... JDM Style... These are all different labels which have been thrown around the US import car scene in the past few years. Once a style gets solidified, a rule set gets made and standards are created for what one should and shouldn't do with a car build. However, every once and a while a car will come up which makes you scratch your head. This 2006 Nissan 350Z is certainly Hella Flush approved, but it's clean...

Everything's bigger in Texas, even the tandem drift trains. This was shot at the first-ever Lonestar Bash, held last weekend at Mineral Wells in the heart of Texas.

Very good stuff here.
