As I sit in a petrol station-come-hotel in northern Spain the day before the next FIA GT1 round, finally I've been able to finish off this race report post wrapping up the last two races of the 2010 European GT3 Championship from Zolder in Belgium. It was a weekend that showed off the best of GT3, with close racing and action a-plenty. With the Drivers' Title already in the hands of the Keilwitz/Hohenadel #101 Callaway Corvette, it was down to the Prospeed Porsche team to try and wrest the...

What a great weekend. It's not like I ever get to a race weekend expecting to have a bad time, but sometimes everything just clicks. Zolder was a fantastic track in a lovely part of Belgium; there was some excellent racing; I ate the odd caramel-covered waffle; and Team Need For Speed delivered amazing results in both races. Even better, there was absolutely lovely weather, despite all the predictions of Belgium in the Autumn. The sun beamed down, with hardly a cloud in the sky all weekend. Truly...

The sweet taste of champagne! Victory for Patrick Soderlund and Edward Sandstrom in the #76 Team Need For Speed BMW Z4 Coupé in the penultimate race of the 2010 GT3 European Championship after a hard-fought hour of racing here at Zolder in Belgium. And the win is even sweeter after the challenges the team faced. Yesterday evening things looked rather different. There was a much shorter BMW for a start: just after setting the fourth-fastest time in his qualifying segment Patrick was caught...

I'm back in Belgium for the final round of the FIA European GT3 championship, this time up in the north-east of the country, up by the Dutch border. Zolder isn't the most complex of tracks – it's basically two almost straights punctuated by chicanes, with loops at either end – but it's deceptively challenging, tight and fast. A little forest fun park, catching out the unwary. Here's a desktop pack featuring each of the manufacturers racing this weekend. Team Need For...

Minutes, hours, days, months, seasons, years, decades, centuries...........all will pass eventually, so too for motor sport. It seems only yesterday that I was heading for Germany and the first round of a brave new Championship. Hockenheim was the location and April 1997 was the time. Well like me the FIA GT Championship has got a little older, if not wiser and yesterday, after 132 races and 13 seasons the affair ended. For next year it will be all change but for now let's have a quick look at...

Here's another reader's ride for you guys. This E36 M3 is owned by Arlo Vidts of Ghent, Belgium and is equipped with BBS CH wheels, AP Brakes, KW V2 coilovers, and a SuperSprint exhaust among other things. If that wasn't enough, Arlo's daily driver is a built E30 M3, which he actually prefers over the E36 for its raw feeling. I'd be perfectly happy with either one... This photo was taken during a trip to Belgium's Zolder Circuit. Thanks for the photo Arlo! -Mike Garrett...
