From the frozen wastes of the Var and Le Castellet, I am now pitched into the very agreeable surroundings of the Ritz Carlton, Amelia Island for the 15th edition of the Concours d'Elegance. The show is actually tomorrow but keen as mustard me, I ventured onto the Golf Course to see what is in store when the Sun rises in the morning. Straight out of the Weissach version of Rowan & Martin's Laugh In was the Martini Racing Porsche...

I made so many pictures last Thursday, so I wasn't sure how I wanted to start this second post. I could do a separate BMW post or a Porsche post, but I decided to mix it up a bit. So there's something for everyone. In the opening shot you see the parking lot that's left of the entrance. On days like this you can walk around and chat to the owners or just check the awesome machinery that is present. The first car that caught my eye in this picture was the BMW M6 on the foreground. I'm...

One of the best bits about the 2009 Le Mans Series has been the support races organised by Classic Endurance Racing. Grids around the 50 mark and all manner of interesting machinery. We will be bringing you a feature on this later in the year but for now I would like to have a quick look at the BMW element that raced on the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit last weekend. The BMW M1 from the ProCar era is a popular choice for this form of competition, being relatively affordable, easy to drive and work...

Just found this pic of a E46 CSL going in hard at what looks like the Karussell on the Nürburgring. A car in its natural habitat and being used for what it was build for. Do any of the European readers have plans to visit the Nürburgring in the nearby future? Let me know in the comments. I wanted to visit the BMW Nürburg Test Center next week to take a closer look at what they have in store. -Jeroen Willemsen
