Time for a look at all the parked cars in Reifnitz. It was the place where the manufacturers like Volkswagen, Audi and Skoda had their own stand. Although I'm not sure if I could call it a ‘stand' because they were huge and contained almost every model they produce. I especially liked what Audi did. They had a closed off area where you could grab something to eat or drink and look at cars they rolled onto a stage. This Golf MKI was parked under the Volkswagen arch that crossed the street...

Some owners build their Golf's purely for show but there are others that take a different route. This is one of those cars that I saw at the Midwinter Meeting that took this different route. The owner Chris is one of the people from the organization VW Speed . When he spotted me shooting at the event he recognized the Speedhunters stickers I have on my tripod. After a small introduction he told me I had to check out his car because it was a bit special. The exterior has been kept clean with minor...

Let's start with some of the spotlights I reserved after attending the M.I.V.W event last month. One of the cars that made a lasting impression was this MK2 in the show & shine hangar. The deep red burgundy paintjob transformed the complete look of the car, it looked brand new. I have never seen a MK2 this clean. I have noticed that there is always stiff competition between the UK, Holland and other European countries who builds the best Volkswagens. After seeing this MK2 I know that the...

Let's have a final look at M.I.V.W, the biggest VW only event in the Netherlands. I will wrap it up with a quick look at the other cars that attended the show. A mk3 that came from Belgium stood alone in front of the hangar with the aircooled rides. It looks really simple but is perfectly balanced. This pristine mk1 was on the outside showground. It featured a roll cage and old school brown interior. The split rims were a perfect match. The engine bay was very clean with a wire tuck and shaved...

This mk2 with what looks like to be Regamasters replicas looks stunning. In his previous setup the owner was rocking some Audi wheels, but I really prefer this more track oriented look. You can find more pictures on the owners Flickr account . Originally spotted on Supermade. -Jeroen Willemsen

This second installment covers the outside grounds of the VW-Speed Summer Show. In the opening picture you see the most favorite wheel amongst the show goers. The community is really laidback and it seemed that for most of the people that attended it was more like a get together with ‘old' and new friends....

Because of the lack of Japanese tuning shows in Holland I decided to pay a visit to the VW-Speed Summer show . It was really refreshing to see other kind of cars and their owners, both the scenes are a world apart. I had a feeling that inside the VW community there is place for the entire family. The show itself was bigger than I expected. You could wander around outside to see what kind of cars the visitors brought with them or you could take a step inside where you could find more precious metal...

While browsing the NWP4LIFE forums I came across this gem. Because it was found in a ‘post your slammed ride' topic I do not have info on the car except the obvious, that it's a MK2 Golf probably a GTi 16v. Does anybody have any more info on the car? -Jeroen Willemsen
