Now for my third installment I will be looking at some of the other cars that were present. The first car we have is the green E36 Wagon in the opening picture. It had a solid setup with its green color and flush Racing Dynamics wheels. I kept coming back to this car, and couldn't resist taking lots of pictures of it, maybe I can turn it into a car spotlight, anybody interested? Next week I will have another E36 wagon for you guys. It's a very famous car in Europe and it is used for drifting...

Perhaps I'm a bit biased as an MX-5 owner myself, but I thought this was pretty cool. As part of the car's 20th anniversary, Mazda is hosting a birthday gathering for European MX-5 owners next month at the 24 Hours of LeMans. 200 owners and enthusiasts from around Europe will be invited to a special gathering and car show alongside the famous racing circuit. Most of all, I really liked the press photo that Mazda has supplied for the event, showing a new NC model sitting on the track alongside an original NA with a Mazda prototype racer lurking in the background.
Now if I could just find a way to get my little Roadster across the atlantic for this......

Seeing that Mike is building his MX5, I wanted to give him some encouragement and something to gawk at; and yes it fits under the truck. -Jeroen Willemsen Jordan Fok Photography

The first time I spotted this car, I was out at Willow Springs with the yellow Nissan 370Z that I was test driving for my driving impression story on Speedhunters. There were a lot of Miatas at the track that day (obviously, because there was a Miata Challenge event happening at Streets), but in the sea of Miatas parked in the Streets of Willow pit area, I thought this black Miata stood out most. This Miata is owned by Tony Pham, a super nice guy from the San Fernando Valley who bought his Miata...

Step right up and get it! By request from Murs (you have to fulfill requests when members of Living Legends are requesting them), Turbo Tony Pham's good offset, fire breathing Miata is now available on the Speedhunters Desktops section for download! Handle it. -Antonio Alvendia

I think SSR MarkII wheels are one of my favorite types of wheels ever... in the history of all wheels ever made. They certainly do a lot to make this NA6 Eunos Roadster look legit. Don't you think? Personally, I'd prefer a wider wheel up front though, for a bit more stretch and more lip. No doubt. Nicely done car. -Antonio Alvendia

Over the past few weeks, we've been featuring a lot of Miatas on Speedhunters... A LOT. In fact, I personally have been featuring a lot more Miatas than I originally thought I would. Since our Mazda month is approaching its end, I just wanted to put these photos up for everyone to see. These photos aren't what one might expect out of one of my normal photo shoots - I didn't shoot it them with my digital SLR, I just shot these snapshots real quick several years ago with my Canon SD800...

Just like the FD3S RX7, I feel like the OEM body shape of the NA6 Miata normally looks best with only minor changes, like a front lip spoiler and conservative rear lip wing. However, I gotta say, I'm kinda feeling the look of this yellow Miata, from Chiba Japan-based drift team Noise Maker. For those who have been jocking our features on the Magician drift gang, you might want to take notice of Noise Maker. In my opinion, Noise Maker is one of the coolest drifting teams to come out of Chiba....

Thanks to Dean from Mazdaspeed, a good friend of mine, we were given permission to use these photos of the new Playboy Mazda MX5 Cup cars. I didn't even realize that Playboy had a racing series at first, but I think it may be something we'll want to keep our eyes on. Just look at this whole field of similarly prepared MX5s, running extremely closely together at Road America. Hey drivers , doesn't this look like a fun event to race in? I know for a fact that I'd love to try my hand...

Last Friday night, as we were walking around looking at cars at a Miata meet, I noticed this NB Miata sitting on Precedeo Demon Camber wheels - one of my favorite 5 spoke wheels ever made. Ever. When I asked around to find out who the owner was, it turns out that he was one of the friendlier guys at the meet as well - his name is Leonard, and he drives in the Miata Challenge. While Leonard and I were talking, we both agreed that we're not normally huge fans of British Racing Green paint (just...

The photo of this Eunos Roadster in Japan is from Livedoor, one of my former clients in Japan that specializes in end user blogs. I found a photo of this car on Club Roadster, and I think it has exactly the type of stance that all MX-5 Roadsters should have. Just look at the fitment on those rear wheels! NICE! I'm sure the car was a work in progress when this photo was taken, because if the owner of the car put that much effort to make the rear look perfect like that, then it's unlikely they...

In the last few days I've been looking for everything I can find related to Miatas. I'm getting more and more interested in these cars. They're very nimble and light, but with a engine that puts out 150bhp from its 1.8 liter engine it's man enough to hold its own on the track or street. When looking for a nice second hand one I came across several cars that cost less than 6000 euro. That's seriously cheap for a car with so much potential. There are many tuners that offer several...

As a former NA chassis Mazda Roadster owner, I will always have a soft spot for the original version of Mazda's iconic sports car. When it comes to NA Roadsters, the Frog Eyes circuit car has to be one of the coolest ever. From it's mega wide RS Watanabe wheels to its John Player Special livery homage, the car is just dripping with coolness. It also runs like a bat out of hell......

Look at what I came across while surfing the intertubes! This has got to be one of the most stylish daily driven track weapons I've ever seen. The folks over at www.tripleZoom.com have a full feature on the car and the driver, and I must say, it's a great read. The owner, Chris Lee, has some of the rarest Miata parts on this continent. Not the least of which are those massive flares. Am I alone in loving "Dampa Chi" the little Tein mascot??? Of course, he needs those flares to fit...
