In less than 24 hours from now, Redline Time Attack will kick off it's 2010 competition season at the (semi) famous Buttonwillow Raceway in Central California. We'll be there on Sunday covering the action, but before that here's a quick preview of some things to look out for this season....

Following the rather long winter break, it is that time of the year again when the air is about to be filled with the thick smell of burnt rubber. The International Drift Series 2010 season opener is a little over two weeks from now, and most of the drivers are keeping their cards close to the chest about the details of their 2010 builds. Having finished another third championship ranking in the 2009 season, Driftteam Switzerland are all set to do better this season. I caught Benno Frieden testing...

After several years of rising popularity, 2009 was the year that saw the Prodrift Series take a small stumble. Two rounds cancelled, lower entries and smaller crowds at most events, it was a tough year for the Prodrift crew. However, after seeing what they were capable of at the Punchestown Super Series event last year and the quality of the previous seasons, I'd have little doubt that 2010 will be back to normality for the Prodrift Series. For 2010 Prodrift will concentrate on running the Irish...

Only one week to go now before the 2010 D1 Grand Prix professional drift championship kicks off here in Japan. The cold winter months are almost over and we have one hell of a drift-oriented line-up for you all this year. D1 is promising to be as competitive as ever with a few drivers swapping over to new cars mid-season. I will travel across Japan to bring you coverage from the best Japanese tracks like Okayama where I can't wait to see more of those physics-defying rear-end-first entries! Will...

March 17th, yes it's St. Patrick's Day when the whole of the USA turns green, drinks Guinness and pretends to have some connection with Ireland. Well, why not, any excuse to have a gargle even if the green wigs do not really go with my complextion. Down in Florida's Central Highlands the date also has a deep significance, it also involves alcohol in industrial quantities but this time a race is tacked on. So in 2010 we anticipate the 58th running of the Sebring 12 Hours, the first round...

With the 2010 SUPER GT season just a few days away, I thought now would be a good time to give a run-down on what to expect over the coming months in Japan’s biggest racing series. Naturally, the strong teams will remain just that, despite whatever changes have occurred over the winter. We can expect to see GT500’s top teams; NISMO, TOM’S, Cerumo, TEAM IMPUL and Honda Racing to remain at the front, followed by Kondo Racing and Team Kraft, with a few surprises from the likes of Real...

"The best laid schemes o' Mice an' Men, gang aft agley". Rabbie Burns' take on the essential futility of making any kind of plans struck a chrord this week. Yes even here, on SpeedHunters. The traditional LMS Test held in early March at the High Tech Test Track is usually a crisp, bright affair with the Mistral blowing and keeping us on our toes. It is an event that we all look forward to as a way of chasing the cobwebs out of our brains and our cameras after the winter hiatus...

The Formula One season starts this weekend in Bahrain and given our F1 preview was so popular last year, it is time for Speedhunters bring you a brief preview for the 2010 season. Biggest changes surround World Champions, past and present. The 2009 World Drivers Champion, Jenson Button, left Brawn GP at the end of 2009 to join McLaren Mercedes, where Lewis Hamilton is firmly entrenched. It is going to be a challenge for Jenson to get into the tight McLaren-Hamilton relationship and beat Lewis…but...

2010 sees the return of top-flight GT racing as an official World Championship for the first time since 1992, lining up alongside Formula One, World Touring Cars and World Rallying. British team Sumo Power will be running a pair of Nissan GT-Rs in the 10-round championship, which kicks off in Abu Dhabi next month. Speedhunters were able to see the cars being unloaded and prepared down at Sumo Power's base in Rye , on the south coast of England, back in January: since then the cars and team haven't...

Winter is finished and hibernation is over, whatever Punxatwany Phil has to say on the subject. At least in my world that is. This week down in Spain the Grand Prix Circus set out their stall for 2010. In Florida the Rolex 24 has been and gone, next up is the beginning of the NASCAR season. Best of all is the news in from the city some 120 miles West of Paris, Le Mans. This week they have announced those lucky devils who have been invited to the 2010 edition of the French classic. Andy B posted a...
