It's the last race of the 2009 ALMS season at Laguna Seca where the finale has been held for the last number of years. One of the best places to finish a season without a doubt. Monterey is one of the prettiest places in the US and the track is one of my favorites. I've had decent success here in the past. I dominated here in 2005 with my teammates Justin Marks and Bill Auberlen in an M3 and finished well in every year after. Last year I lead for an hour or so in the aging Panoz and finished...

What's up SpeedHunters – I'm Tommy Milner and I'm a 23 year old 'kid', lucky enough to have to have one of the most exciting jobs in the world. I grew up in a racing family, my dad having been in racing since the late 60's, and grew up a big car guy/race fan. Nothing has changed since I was young, as I still watch anything and everything to do with cars or racing, now I'm just fortunate to make a living at it. I started off racing 125cc shifter karts when I was 15...

BMW Mobile Tradition is BMW North America's vintage fleet of race cars that are toured around the country to some of the greatest car shows the US has to offer. These aren't your usual museum show cars though. All of them are fully operational and I've been lucky enough to drive most of them. And drive them hard... I'm not going to go into detail about these cars' history because honestly, Rod knows a lot more about these than I do. What I do know about these cars is how they...

Amongst the Speedhunters on site at the Petit Le Mans, I've been designated the press room worker. So while John Brooks and Linhbergh were off shooting the race, I've been sitting here watching the Speed TV feed and listening to Radio Le Mans. Out the window I can see one corner of the track, but I might as well be in my living room as I'm mostly getting a sense of the race through media, rather than direct experience. Not that I'm complaining! The weather has been pretty rubbish...

I'm sitting here in the media center at Road Atlanta watching a very wet support race. The track is looking rather flooded right now and yesterday's extreme heat and humidity is rapidly fading from memory. But before we swamp the site with coverage from the start of Petit Le Mans 2009, I want to quickly convey what I got up to yesterday. Early start times seem to be the defacto standard for international level motorsports events and Petit Le Mans is no exception. Linhbergh and I were expected...

The 'Petit Le Mans' round of the American Le Mans Series takes place this coming weekend and Speedhunters will be bringing you coverage of the10hour endurance event. A closed test took place over the weekend and was the first chance to see the 'Need For Speed Shift' liveried #92 BMW M3 which Jörg Müller,Tommy Milner and Dirk Müller will compete in. If you look closely, you will also notice Speedhunters.com stickers on the Rear wing end plate! In addition to our coverage...

You know, not just anyone can show up with a stack of video cameras to an American Le Mans race expecting to be allowed to shoot footage. If you are a professional photographer, then you might be allowed trackside access to shoot photos, but permission to shoot video is a whole other matter and often requires a week of negotiations and conference calls. On top of this, not just anyone would be able to convince BMW to mount video cameras all over brand new race car -- and even onto the driver! The...

It's now BMW Month on Speedhunters so we thought it would be fitting to bring together the first 3 series GT racer with the current ALMS GT2 weapon for September's desktop calendar release. Look out for full features on both of these cars in the coming weeks. You can download standard or widescreen Calendars in our desktop section.

Ever wonder what it's like to drive a full race spec GT car around the streets of Long Beach? Well now is your chance to jump into this experience. Most of you will recall that we spent the weekend of the Long Beach Grand Prix this past May attaching all manner of cameras to one of the Rahal Letterman Racing BMW M3 GT2s and its driver Tommy Milner. Our goal was to make a film that puts you in the hot seat of this fantastic race car, to replicate the experience of being Tommy Milner. This film...

Ever heard the saying "You better treat people well on your way up, as they'll be the same people you'll see on your way back down" .... Interesting words, although perhaps it's not the best ultimate motivator to become a good, honest and helpful person in life.... In my opinion, you should always be truthful and straight forward with people as an end in itself , not just because there are consequences.... But it is true that you also really don't know where your pathway...
