Natural progression or a fluke? You can't open a ‘pic of the day thread' on a random forum without getting confronted with cars that have a killer stance. Normally you would see cars like a Impreza or Evo and of course the S-chassis cars. But we can't forget the little guys, like this Toyota Yaris or Vitz as it is known in other countries. This particular car has its roots in Indonesia and is rolling round town on a set of 20" Weds Kranze Bazreia wheels. There isn't a lot...

I dropped by Daikoku Parking Area late last night on my way home from a shoot and quite glad I did as there seemed to be a few interesting cars parked up. This lime green Toyota Vitz grabbed my attention as it was sporting the kind of stance we all like here on Speedhunters. I have decided I will be trying to get down to the world's most famous "PA" more regularly as there is just so much cool machinery on display there pretty much every night of the week! -Dino Dalle Carbonare

I've posted quite a few Honda compacts and vans over the past couple weeks, so I figured it was time to show some Toyota love. In this case we have a JDM Toyota Vitz (aka Yaris) modified in a European style. This Euro style seems to getting more popular in Japan, with owners applying VW and Audi style modifications to their domestic cars. In this case the Vitz has some subtle body mods and is dropped on 17x8 and 17x8.5 RH ZW1 wheels with 195/40/17 tires. The result is a unique combination of Japanese and European automotive tastes. -Mike Garrett...

If you've been reading Speedhunters for a while, then you might remember that I did a short story about Toyota's "Megaweb" in Odaiba last year. In case you haven't heard of it, Megaweb is a huge showroom where you can check out the latest Toyota models and even test drive them around a special course that's setup outside. It's a worthy stop for any car enthusiast who's visiting Tokyo. With it being Toyota month and all, I figured it would be a good time to take another trip to Megaweb to see if there was anything new. Visiting Megaweb is also a great way to get a look at Toyota's current JDM car lineup. ...

Car makers try to offer cars to fit every market, but everyone knows that each has their own "signature" when it comes to enthusiast cars. For example, Honda has its compact FF sports cars, Nissan has the Z and, GT-R, while Mitsubishi and Subaru have their AWD rally cars, and Mazda its lightweight sports cars. What about Toyota though? As you read in my 101 post last week, Toyota's contributions to the automotive world are spread out pretty evenly. From big turbocharged sedans and MR sports cars to rally-spec Celicas and Corollas, Toyota has pretty much done it all....

Turning our attention to some newer Toyotas, are a few photos of an interesting Toyota Vitz I saw in the parking lot at Suzuka Circuit. This car is a competitor in the Toyota Netz Vitz Cup, which is a spec series in Japan that pits these low horsepower, inexpensive cars against each other - If you had to compare it to something, you could say it's sort of similar to the Spec Miata road racing class here in the USA. Of course the first thing that drew my attention to this Vitz was the brightly...
