Hey have you guys ever seen the Jackie Chan film, called THUNDERBOLT???
It's kinda old, like maybe 1995ish? I saw it back then and I was floored... it featured Japanese cars like Skylines, Lancer Evo, GTO (3000GT), and even the lame FTO haha (Mitsubishi was a sponsor of the movie - maybe that's why the bad guy drove a Skyline, haha) If you can find a copy of this on a Chinese subtitled DVD, BUY IT!!!!!!!!!! It's super cool IMHO. Shows some Group A style racing in it.
Another Jackie Chan film - "Who Am I" also features a Lancer Evo, and shows some Paris-Dakar rally type footage in Mitsubishi Pajeros also.
For Japanese films, check out the Shutokou (spelling?) TRIAL series. Super dope! Drivers battle in FCs, FDs, JZA70s, R32s, etc, it's super dope! Features all the best Japanese sports cars from the late 80s and early 90s.
I also had one videotape of this low budget, lame Japanese film, but it featured drifting, and the main guy had an AE86, and he later sold out and got an S13 (I think? Or was it an FC...? I forgot.)
