Just saw this Dodge Charger on the Stanceworks forum . It made me stop looking for some other material and I just stared for a while, I swear. I'm not a fan of muscle cars, but this particular one just felt different. The wheels are a big part of this car appearance. Some of you could have identified them as a set from a Dodge Viper, they come in size 22X10 with +22 all-round and they are wrapped with 256/30/22 Yokohama's. The owner is working on making the car go even lower with a set of...

A car like this could be considered as a misfit or maverick. Norris Designs are responsible for this creation, a short wheelbase EVO 9. There are so many trick parts on this car but I'll start with the engine. It is powered by a 2.24L long rod high deck engine, it delivers 950bhp and 700lb-ft. Thanks to its low weight of 1180kg the car is capable to go 215mph and does the quarter mile in 9.26 seconds. You can check out the complete spec list on Norris Designs . But it is not the engine that makes...

Normally we don't do these kind of posts, but after some email contact with Mike Marzano from Fluid MotorUnion I had to turn this picture in this random snap. Can somebody indentify the car? I can tell you that the wheels are a set of Auto Couture Supreme's in 19"x 12.5 in the rear and 19x10 in the front. With these kind of builds you need a decent suspension setup so they opted for D2 Racing airbags The car will be in for paint soon, so by that time I hope to reveal the completed car...

Natural progression or a fluke? You can't open a ‘pic of the day thread' on a random forum without getting confronted with cars that have a killer stance. Normally you would see cars like a Impreza or Evo and of course the S-chassis cars. But we can't forget the little guys, like this Toyota Yaris or Vitz as it is known in other countries. This particular car has its roots in Indonesia and is rolling round town on a set of 20" Weds Kranze Bazreia wheels. There isn't a lot...

A Speedhunter without a proper project car just didn't feel right. So this morning I bought this BMW E30 316i car from a good friend. The car didn't want to start so tonight I'm going to work on it and see if I can make it run. In the meantime I'm making a list with goodies that I want, right now I'm thinking low, stance, no bodykit and white (yes I know) . The plan is to make it ready for a few laps on the Nürburgring every now and then. So in the end a new engine is in...

This is something you don't see every day, a full C-West bodykit on a street driven S15. I really love the color of this car, it doesn't shout but it does grabs your attention. There is one thing, I couldn't identify the wheels, they look like Gram Lights T57. -Jeroen Willemsen Spotted on Lord Bas Flickr

Everybody knows that drifting is not all about going sideways, there is also a element of being different. Remember the Samurai drifter? Or Paul Vlasblom and his BMW touring. But when I got an email with this picture attached, I didn't realized at first this was a drift car. So it certainly is different but can it drift? . The base car is 1940 Chevy Coupe, the owner Karl Ebel bought it 10 years ago. The plan was to build it as a traditional hot rod but after Karl became more involved in Motorsport...

Despite its size, this Fiat 500 drag car is capable of putting some serious rubber on the strip. Not sure what engine is in there but I have seen some before with 427 small blocks for power. -Jeroen Willemsen

The Tokyo Auto Salon is almost upon us. I know a lot of people are making the pilgrimage to the ‘holy land', even our own Dino is already packing his bags. I can't wait to see his coverage. Will the R35 be the car of the show? -Jeroen Willemsen Photo spotted on The Real JDM

Just spotted this FC on Al's Car Stuff blog . It rolls on a set of Work Equips with a very large dish in the rear, just enough to fill those arches. Love the understated look of this particular model. Maybe Carl can get some inspiration from this car, although it hasn't been made as a Time Attack car.

Could the people behind Mazda be considered Mavericks after they conquered the 24hrs of Le Mans in 1991?

Be sure to turn the volume up.

The Panspeed and Revo FDs tend to get the most attention during the many Time Attack events at Tsukuba... But this Screen Powers FD also deserves some love. This car packs quite the punch with almost 450bhp thanks to a HKS T04Z turbo. -Jeroen Willemsen Screen Powers

It's time for the S15 to shine, this will by my final contribution to the S-Chassis festivities. HKS S15 : Who doesn't remember this awesome machine? I'm just happy I've seen this machine live in action. Some of you will have seen one of the two HKS S15 chassis do duty in the US with Rockstar and then later Falken liveries. Kei Office S15: Maybe even more famous than the HKS version, this chassis has now won two D1GP championships -first with Kazama and then last year with Imamura...

Making a list with cars is always difficult because there will always be people that are disappointed that their favorite car didn't made the list. But I tried and have collected several S13's and RS13's to celebrate this day, tomorrow there will be more S14's and last but not least the S15's. This list has been made in no particular order. Koguchi Power 180SX. I wanted to start with my personal favorite, this Koguchi built car. The 180 was constructed for Yuko Wakabayashi, Koguchi's...

Just saw this incredible picture of the Mercedes C11, the one that Michael Schumacher drove during the 24hrs of Le Mans. The car only weighed 900kg and was powered by a twin turbo 5 liter V8 with 730bhp. In 1990 he managed to take his first major international victory in this car together with Jochen Mass on the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City, at that time Michael was only 21 years old. What will he be able to do 20 years later when he will return in another Silver Arrow...

I'm busy making a list with pictures of famous and inspirational S-chassis cars for the coming days. The cars I have so far include; Koguchi's D1 180SX, Rauh Welt's S15, Team Burst S13, Team Magician's S14a, Rocket Bunny S13, Nob's S15 and a few more. But I'm not there yet and I need your help. Which S-chassis car do you like the most and think should be mentioned in the list? Let me know in the comments! -Jeroen Willemsen

For this story, I took a bit of a different approach: I didn't necessarily pick the best looking shot but chose pictures that had something to tell or photos with cool cars. This post concentrates on photos that weren't taken by the Speedhunters team, but were sourced from the internet. I have provided each photo with a link so you can take a look at the original post. Random Snap>> Hillclimb Lancia In 2010 I will attend some of these hillclimb competitions and I hope I can see this...

What a year it has been, it seems that that the last few years are over before I even knew it. For Speedhunters I have been to several shows, but the Nürburgring travels were the most fun. I know I can't take photo's as good as Mike, Linhberg and Dino, but I'm getting there and for 2010 there will be a lot more show coverage from my end. I will be traveling a bit more and even a bit further to you give you guys a better view on the European tuning scene. Touristenfahrt, Nürburgring...

Honda just released this picture of their 2010 SuperGT entry. The Honda HSV-10 GT will replace the Honda NSX and is powered by a 3.4 liter V8 with more than 500bhp. It will debut at the SuperGT opener on the 20 th of March, but I'm sure there will be more info released by Honda before that. This shot already looks promising, and I'm just glad Honda continues their efforts in the SuperGT Series. Man, how hardcore does this car look... -Jeroen Willemsen Spotted on Autoblog
