There is just no denying that many top Japanese tuners have fully turned their attention to ECO cars. The Honda Insight and Toyota Prius are gaining in popularity so the tuners have been quick to hop on this trend. Aimgain has set out to personalize the Toyota Prius with a full workout including the exterior, interior, wheels and suspension. Aimgain went the familiar VIP route for which they are famous for. The car has been dropped using a complete adjustable suspension system and not with the familiar...

Today I had a job interview in Amsterdam and there I spotted this Scirocco with a full Rieger bodykit, it also had small sticker on the trunk saying MTM. They have a full engine package available for this car, so I hope it wasn't just stickerstuning. Seeing a Scirocco is one thing but seeing one like this in the capital of Holland really made my day. Can't wait for the Essen Motor Show at the end of this month. Last year I already saw several Scirocco's but I'm guessing there will...

The boys at C's Garage are at it again. Maybe some of you remember my feature about these brothers? This yellow S13 belongs to Joel and it rolled on Work VX-SS wheels before. But now Joel made a step up and bought himself a set of 19" Weds Kranze wheels. The fitment of the rear wheels is even better than before. -Jeroen Willemsen

When living so close to ‘The Ring' you sometimes feel spoiled as the high performance cars you'll encounter at the track become normal. For example, Porsche 911 GT3s are nothing special to see when Speedhunting at the Nordeschliefe. So you start searching for cars that are less obvious to satisfy your car craving. On my last visit I spotted this BMW E36 touring which certainly grabbed my attention. It has been painted in Porsche green, the same color you can find on the GT3 RS version...

I saw some of you guys commenting on Dino's feature of the ‘Natty Dread' Porsche regarding the Sunburst 993. So I dug up this shot of the Sunburst demo car doing some laps around Tsukuba. The orange color scheme really sets it off but it doesn't make it look as menacing as the Rauh Welt build car. The offset on the other hand does work wonders, especially considering the massive fenders. -Jeroen Willemsen

Last year, together with Rod, John Brooks and Antonio, I visited the Spa 24 hour race in Belgium and saw the Donkervoort D8 GT for the first time. I'd heard about it on the internet previously, but when confronted with the real deal, I was amazed how good it looked. The car screamed for a closer look, and I knew I had to visit the company someday -fast forward to last Tuesday. After some email contact with Donkervoort , they invited me to come over and take some pictures of the new factory and...

I just got a link to this website called Mizenkoltd.com . I spotted this Mercedes on airbags and wire wheels. I love the look of a retro car slammed to the ground. -Jeroen Willemsen

This fresh looking Golf MK4 was spotted at the recent Westside Show in the UK. You see a lot of rims that come from higher end cars ending up on cars in the VW community. This time the owner of this Golf got himself a set of wheels from the Porsche Turbo. It just shows that a design that has been made exclusively for a Porsche also works wonders on other cars. -Jeroen Willemsen Picture taken from Tej's flickr stream

Fall is coming in hard in Holland, leaves are dropping and it seems like the rain never stops. But when it does stop and the leaves are dry you can shoot some incredible pictures. Mike Gilbert thought the same and shot this Audi A6 in this amazing setting. The A6 had a small makeover with a new nose that was taken from a S6 version. I love this shot... The car has been factory fitted with an Oyster gray metallic color. Just to think that at my recent Nürburgring trips you see these cars everywhere...

There is just no denying that the VW community have the Stance is Everything theme perfected. Here we have another example that proves that. The BBS LM wheels are a perfect match for this Golf mk4, there is a little bit of tuck but I'm sure it can drive without a hitch. The black accent on the frontbumper is also a cool touch. -Jeroen Willemsen Thanks to Oliver Verheij for the use of this picture.

Some of you had a ‘problem' with the amount of camber on my latest feature . So here is another take on a similar level, this time on a JZX100. The car is just as low but doesn't have the camber. The wheels seems to be a set of Vienna's Noble in black; the contrast works very well with the red exterior. -Jeroen Willemsen

This mk2 with what looks like to be Regamasters replicas looks stunning. In his previous setup the owner was rocking some Audi wheels, but I really prefer this more track oriented look. You can find more pictures on the owners Flickr account . Originally spotted on Supermade. -Jeroen Willemsen

I can remember way back, I always followed a website called Teamrice.org after it was featured in a edition of the HCI magazine. They always showcased amazing looking cars and had a video that accompanied each feature. I always loved that site until it went offline. But thankfully this was followed up by an affiliate site called DOHCresearch.com and after checking it again not too long ago I came across some fine automobiles from Hawaii. I'm still amazed at the quality of the builds they have...

What better way to start this month with the Spirant build JZX100. Any change is a welcome excuse to get this car on Speedhunter. This time the owner has had a small refresh with some new decals. The car is a favorite of mine for a long time. This car has the stance department on lock, it looks that good. -Jeroen Willemsen

While researching this blog post, I didn't want to make a standard Driver Profile of Paul Vlasblom like what we've been doing with the Formula D drifters. I wanted to turn it into a Q&A type of feature with lots of pictures of his cars, build projects and driving skills instead. Paul's career got started in 1998 when he was working for a Porsche dealership and and was racing a E30. He already loved to slide the little BMW but it never occurred to him it was a real sport. He won the...

Some of you should recognize this car as the 550 Maranello that has been build by Garage Saurus . It's a car that is constant developing. I have been following the build and I have been amazed at the quality of the build. This time they went out for a track day on the Fuji Speedway for some much needed testing. It is just a testament that Garage Saurus is still one of Japans greatest tuners. JeroenWillemsen

This car will race in the Camaro Cup in Sweden it will replace the older Z28 that has been used since 1999. The car uses a tube frame chassis made by HOWE Racing in the US. Ohlins suspension and Michelin tires will make sure the car handles like a true racecar. It is funny to see that this real American muscle car will be raced on the other side of the ocean. Check this Wikipedia link for more info about the Camaro Cup. -Jeroen Willemsen Spotted on Vizualtech

Now for my third installment I will be looking at some of the other cars that were present. The first car we have is the green E36 Wagon in the opening picture. It had a solid setup with its green color and flush Racing Dynamics wheels. I kept coming back to this car, and couldn't resist taking lots of pictures of it, maybe I can turn it into a car spotlight, anybody interested? Next week I will have another E36 wagon for you guys. It's a very famous car in Europe and it is used for drifting...

Just saw this small video in which a girl pays cash for a ride in a BMW M3. At first I thought it was a video made by BMW to promote their brand, but in fact it is made by some individuals with a very keen eye. Maybe this can work as inspiration for some of the videographers we have featured on Speedhunters.
