Car Passions: For as long as I can remember I have always been passionate about cars. I was into R/C cars and making models a lot when I was younger. I now collect die cast cars and drifting paraphernalia. My first type of racing I got into was drag (bracket) racing back in '96-'98, back when import drags in the west coast was starting up. From '98-'02, I autocrossed heavily with my AE86's and FD3S. I was into motorcycles for a few years and rode a lot of track days during '01-'02. I enjoy driving in the dirt and competed in some rallycross events in 2002. I want to do more off road racing in the future. I began road racing in 2003 and raced in the inaugural 25 hour NASA endurance race at Thunderhill, Ca. I have been road racing in endurance races and sprint races in both front and rear wheel drive cars ever since. In 2005, I began competing in Time Attack Racing. I competed in Super Street's inaugural Time Attack Race and finished 2nd in the Drift Class with my FD. I plan on racing in more time attack events this year with my FD. I first got into drifting back in the mid-nineties from watching Option videos and playing Tokyo Highway Battle on PS1. My first attempt of drifting was back in 1996 with a front wheel drive car. From 2002 on, drift events started up in California and have been drifting full time ever since. I competed in the inaugural D1 Grand Prix in the US back in 2003 and have been competing in every Formula Drift round since the conception of the series back in 2004.  I have been passionate about JDM tuning and turbocharged 4 / 6 cylinders and rotaries engines. This year, I am expanding my automotive horizons and entering a new realm of performance; V8's.

Personal Style: Urban. I'm into different styles of street wear.

Favourite Band of the Moment: Kanye West

Personal Motto: Live life to the fullest and have fun with what you do.

I just came back from awesome event over in Panama City, Panama at the Figali Convention Center called X-treme Wheels and Drift. It was an event that had a car show, bmx performers, concert with Sean Kingston and Flo Rida, and our drifting demonstration from March 7-8, 2009. This was the first time Panama has ever seen drifting before and the fans over there were going nuts over it the entire weekend. Formula D brought over 4 US drivers; Justin Pawlak, Tony Angelo, Chris Forsberg and yours truly...

Here’s a sneak peak of my new competition car for the 2009 Formula D season. The new Falken Nissan S15 Silvia. I have always been a fan of S-Chassis. I believe that S-Chassis are the benchmark of drift cars and the S15 is the final evolution of the proven chassis series. This S15 has been a car that I have idolized every since I first got heavily involved with competitive drifting back in 2003. I can’t believe that it will actually be my competition car! I‘ve competed and owned...

Recently, my wife Lea and I just acquired a 2001 BMW E46 M3. This has been forever Lea’s dream car and I have always been a fond BMW fan. Back around 1999-2000 before I had FD’s, I owned an ’88 E30 M3 that I loved, truly a BMW motorsport classic. So we decided to give up our trusty S14 240sx that we had for over 6 years and move on to something a bit more mature and classy. Soon after we got the M3, I find out that there was going to be a local Hot Import Night Drift Demo in Pleasanton...

After a very eventful 3 days of drifting at Portland International Raceway for the Final Formula D Team Drift Competition of the year, Team Drifting Performance was able to pull off a 1st place finish. It was my first time to this amazing track. The course features very fast and technical corners. The judged portion of the track started with a long right hand triple apex sweeper into a 90-degree left and finished with a tight right hairpin. Very fun track. I was not able to bring my RX-7 to this...

Round 4 of the 2008 Formula D Championship was held in a huge parking lot course at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Now when most people think of a parking lot course, you picture a big, safe wide open lot with a bunch of cones everywhere and nothing to hit. However, when Formula D sets up a parking lot course, they try to make the course as fast, treacherous and exciting as possible . They even made the entry look dangerous, as they had the k-walls narrowing your path which funnels you into the first...

This last Formula D Round was held at a new competition track at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park's roadcourse, in Englishtown, New Jersey. It was my first time I have ever been on that track, but it instantly became my new favorite Formula D track. I love drifting on technical road courses that have fast accelerating, first corner entries and that was exactly what this course was. The course started with a long straighaway, which requires 3 rd or 4 th gear entries into a long, left-hand sweeper...

For this blog entry, I am going to give you guys a little intro about myself, show you some of my past cars I have driven and tell you how I got into this whole drifting craziness. I was born and raised in San Francisco, Ca. Being up in the “Bay Area,” there was only a select few that knew about drifting early on during the mid 90’s. I was always fond of Japanese car tuning and I read a lot of Japanese car magazines and Option videos on a regular basis. That is how I first found...

Formula Drift has a couple of forms of competition drifting events that they throw. The main championship series in the US, international competitions and demos, and a Team Drifting Competition that piggybacks the former Champ Car, now IRL Grand Prix’s. For this 2008 season, I formed a team called Team Drifting Performance that will compete in the 2 team drift competition that is scheduled for this year. Besides from competing in team drift competitions, we also perform drift demonstrations...
