bobberz'S BIO

My name is Mike Escobar. I live near Washington, DC and get to sample some of the finest car shows and collections in the country. I've been addicted to cars since I was in the 2nd grade and am currently studying for my Associates in Applied Sciences degree with my major being Automotive Service and Repair. I currently drive a 2003 Ford Focus sedan with the 2.0 litre Zetec engine. Current mods are a Steeda cold-air intake, Steeda billet aluminum and urethane engine mounts, Steeda 8mm racing spark plug wires.

My Background is in classic cars, whether American Muscle, European sports cars, British cars, or veteran brass era classics. I love learning about all the obscure makes that didn't make it. There have been hundreds of car manufacturers in America alone, not counting the "big three", and I love learning the history behind them. I have become somewhat notorious amongst my friends for being able to see any car and tell them what it is and what year or generation it is.

I also love old school hot rods as well as vintage racing boats, motorcycles, and WWII era aircraft. Basically, if it has an internal combustion engine and goes fast, I'm interested and THAT is what speedhunting is about!

I also have two vintage motorcycle projects: a 1975 Harley-Davidson XL1000 Sportster chopper project, and a 1976 Batavus Mobat restoration project.
