Dropped VWs are a pretty common sight in the international euro scene but it's usually Golfs which are chosen as the starting point for projects; modified Passats rarely show, let alone brand new models. However Johnny Despagne's 2009 Passat CC was a mere 3 days old when it was given the air ride treatment. It's one reason why we continue to highlight the Belgian scene on Speedhunters, members of this car community just love to take showroom fresh Euro sedans and drop them right to the...

This car is getting famous all over the world and has been featured in many VW magazines, blogs and forums. When you look closely at this build, it's clear why it was recently on the cover of Performance VW magazine; this Golf is a top-end, high quality car. Don't look to Rob's funny face but look to the front of the car and how low he can put the air suspension... The car is ON the rims, who needs bumpstops anyway! I don't think you can get a better overal stance than this...Fitment...

You guys allready know that I have a weakness for air-bagged cars. I just love the stance and the look of the whole car when it's sitting on the ground. Believe it or not, this car is owned by a lady. Eva is a 200% Bmw fanatic and also owns the matte black BMW E46 that was featured on the cover of Euro Tuner last month. I have to admit this shoot is quite old, and she's already replaced the E93 with a E92 M3. I always loved shots on the full side on a car with air suspension, so you can see...

When Carl first saw this BMW E39 525d a few years back it was love at first sight. The car was stock and black but he had to pick it up. He drove it around for a few years with a few simple mods but recently decided for a full refresh including a conversion to white paint. You'll see that this car is perfectly finished. The paint is as smooth as a baby's skin, the custom made carbon parts look like they are factory built by BMW itself. Carl deserves loads of respect in the Belgian scene driving...

Here's some event coverage straight from the country where it all started, Germany... BMW Syndikat Race Wars is the biggest BMW event in the country and takes place over the course of three days. Unfortunately, this year's event was hit by poor weather which also affected turn out. You'll see a lot of mud on the pictures because it rained all day long at Saturday. This edition would be better to have been called BMW mud wars! The e30 on the picture above is a tubbed dragster with +800HP...

Every July, cars come from all over Europe to MIVW - short for Men in Volkswagen . It's probably Holland's biggest VAG event of the year. For the 2009 iteration, the organizers rented out a huge airport hanger - a pretty cool location! This worked out quite well as the Dutch weather was pretty poor this weekend so we got to check out these cars from the comfort of the great indoors. So in my past two car features, I saw some people were complaining that they are missing the 'Speed'...

Like I said in the Audi TT feature this morning, I used up all my current crop of AWD photos in the VAG month... but I'm sure you guys will like this Euro VW Golf as much as an AWD car, maybe better! This mk4 is owned by Davy, he likes to have everything perfectly finished. A real detail freak! And that's what we like at Speedhunters! Davy's mk4 is running on air suspension... like I said before there are loads of crappy roads here in Belgium and he likes to spare his car from getting...

Unfortunately all my AWD features got used up during VAG month, so I'm going to show a couple FF cars in the coming weeks, just to break things up a bit. This TT isn't AWD as Rod originally thought, but it's still worth a look, as it sports a unique one-off body kit. The body kit is made in full carbonfiber and is original from Audi. Wesley, 23 year old owner of this car, is the first and only person in the world with this OEM certificated kit. The carbon kit was painted in white and...

Recaro Days is one of the best outdoor events of Germany, each year Nurburgring can welcome thousands of visitors for this event. Loads of attractions and events are available at Recaro Days. You can drive your own car at the famous Nordschleife, Take a 'Ring-Taxi', watch the 1/8 mile sprints, watch drifting or walk around at the show & shine zone. The Vw Scirocco you see above is not a real police car but a demo car for 'tune it! safe!' An organisation who wants to notify the...

Yes, here I am again with a car on air suspension! Air suspension is for me is an easy way to display your car off at shows but then also have the ability to drive it safely back home... In Belgium, where the owner of this fabulous Mercedes 250S lives, most of the roads are quite bad and there are plenty of speedbumps. So it's more a way of making it easier to own a car like this. However air suspension is forbidden in Belgium, but none the less there are plenty of aired bagged cars over here...

Matte colors are always a point of discussion, you like it or you do not. At Worthersee you'll find a lot of matte colored cars. I bet the owner of this Corrado has something to do with the Army. If you were wondering what the 'scoop' is doing in his front grill, if I say the car has 500hp, does that say enough? Enjoy this last part of Worthersee tour 2009! This matte black fits this A3 Sportback very well! The high gloss mirror caps gives the finishing touch! Matte black, white, green...

Worthersee is definitely the place to be when you're looking for GTI's, RS, R, VR6, G's, and other special models of Volkswagen or Audi. You can find every VAG model here, and even better, you can find every model modified! This owner made a 1000km trip to Worthersee, from the south of France.... But with this modified RS6 it went pretty fast I think. Here's the official Volkswagen stand being constructed... One of the many full parking lots at a local hotel. A common sight in Velden...

End of May is the time of the year for the annual VAG Worthersee event. Year after year, this event takes place in the town of Velden, Austria next to the beautifull Worthersee lake. Along with the great weather, the huge lake and loads of VAG cars make this the top gathering of the year for the VAG-lovers from all across Europe. In general, loads of people start to arrive in Velden the week before the actual event starts. Alongside the lake there are numerous places for many meet & greets for...

What do you do when you drive slammed car over 20000 miles a year on bad Belgian roads? You can not drive these distances and this low on coilovers so Diego and Robin decided to go for air suspension under their brand new '08 B8 A4 wagons. Diego's black wagon only had 300miles on the counter when he entered the air shop! The stance of these cars is just amazing! When doing this rolling pictures I heard the plastic crankcase protection screaping the ground. You see heads turning when these...

My first feature on Speedhunters... and I'm delighted to showcase this car! I love these kinds of projects and so does Frits, proud owner of this Vw Golf mk1. He bought his first VW Golf in 1992 and ten Golfs later he came in the possession of this car. It was sitting in a farmyard and hadn’t even been started for three years. The rear window was nowhere to be found and it looked like there the neglected machine had become a home for some abandoned chickens. But, the chassis was suprisingly...
