the lack of unnecessarily high level of competitiveness is one of the main things i enjoy most about this motorsport. sam's blowing it. his dirty tactics lower my respect for him even more. drifting is fun. if you aren't in it for fun, get out.

You know, I'm relatively new to keeping track of the American Drift scene. I respect JR’s professionalism in his posts when talking about other drivers. I on the other hand lack his couth. Sam Hubinnette I direct the following to you and I hope this makes it to you. Why are newcomers to the American drift scene view you as a dirty driver? Why do I receive the impression that you are a dirty driver? Speaking with my friends back in Okinawa, who follow all drift scenes, their impression of American Drifters is that if there is no rule specifically banning an action that we will use it. I’m sure you know what I’m addressing. Please have more professional respect for your peers. Not only are you being disrespectful to your team by damaging their work, blatant use of “brake checking” in this sport is a blemish on the faces of your sponsors, and American drivers/drifters as a whole. If you know this, why do it? Continued use will eventually lead to being caught. One or two drivers complaining that these actions are being done could be chalked up to being in the heat of the moment, but we are now beginning to see numerous grievances. Sadly not just from other Americans but other nations as well. Fly high and strait like an Eagle or scrounge the ground for scraps like a Crow. Just remember.. Karma is a B!tch!!

Brake checking is stupid as hell.

Worry about yourself in the lead and don't worry about the guy behind you.

Brake checking to try to make the following car spin or lose their drift is just as good as saying "I suck and don't have enough skills to win without stooping to low life level".

Intentional brake checking is as good as getting 0 score if you ask me. Tactics I can understand but brake checking has to be considered a negative and unfair practice therefore should be rewarded as such with a 0-bomb!!!
